I think this trend has crested.

The University of Chicago, which has the foremost school of Sociology on the planet has already stated it is abandoning safe spaces and speech muzzling so expect other schools to follow over the next few years as we move away from this idiotic time in history.

This was a natural process IMO as we deal with the breadth and reach of the internet and social media, but customs and norms are being established there so nature is again taking its course.
