Unfortunate.
The Libertarians could have made real gains this election. For the record I think Libertarianism is as dumb as communism but some of the principles are worthy of adoption.
Gary Johnson's running mate is much more presidential than he is. Trouble is most Libertarians are a bunch of moronic 20 somethings who still live at home and have no idea how the world works, minus what they bark on forums like this.

Going to see how the Syrian Libertarian I know reacts to this.

This was his answer:
"OK, got it, got it," Johnson said, cutting him off. He added: "With regard to Syria I do think it's a mess. mess. I think that the only way that we deal with Syria is to join hands with Russia to diplomatically bring that at an end."
"It's just a mess," he said.
Probably would've been better if the guy just said Syria instead of Aleppo.

So we actually have a fairly honest candidate, not someone who changes the subject when they don't know something and turns into some kind of finger pointing attack dog?
Sweet. Thanks for the heads up.
So... just playing devil's advocate here but...
Wouldn't it be better if he didn't know where (or what) Aleppo is? That would, of course, mean that we were not involved. Seems to me its not a matter of 'he doesn't know because he's dumb' but more of a matter of 'he doesn't know cause he doesn't give a ****'.

We don't give a shit if they blow each other to kingdom-come. We're trying to spend the least amount of money and lives possible to keep Russia, China, etc. from controlling a powerful global resource. The minute we have sustainable widespread energy is the minute we get the **** out of that place.

It's actually possible to know what Aleppo is before the Syrian Civil War started.
It's the largest city in Syria. It's not like Al Bab or Raqqa where you wouldn't know about them before the war.
If you like spicy food and come across Aleppo pepper, try it. It's a nice chile pepper.

Nobody gives a **** about Syria... really.
I would prefer we just stay out of the middle east and we not be able to point places out on a map then to know where everything is and be funneling weapons and materials to cave people so they can slaughter each other.

Mexico paid for the wall on their own Southern border so why don't you think they will help pay for a wall on the northern border? :confusedshrug:
On a further note, is Mexico's wall on its southern border racist?
Whether it be by border tarrif fees, laborers, or some other way, they will financially contribute to the wall in some way. I agree with you that they likely won't pay for all of it, but that is how negotiations work.

I know the mexican government would not hand a physical check over to Amerika to pay for the wall. Trump will impose a number of measures that would ensure the wall gets paid for that would be free of charge to us including using drug money that is confiscated, taxing money that flows out of Amerika to Mexico, and imposing all kinds of tariffs. Relax, amigo. Trump wants a stronger relationship with Mexico. He wants to help make Mexico safer as well. The wall and stronger border controls will prevent weapons, drugs and laundered money from flowing in to Mexican cartels. Trump also wishes to strengthen our economic alliance in Mexico. I believe you and I both would much rather all the manufacturing jobs that we currently outsource to China and Taiwan would go to Mexicans in Mexico instead.

Many Trump supporters love the wall. I like Trump's strong stance against illegal immigration, because those people should not be exploited, nor should they be allowed to leech welfare without paying taxes. However, this is not the main reason I am supporting Trump. Whether or not the wall is built or not, and who pays for it, is completely irrelevant to me.
If all of this talk leads to a stronger border and relationship for both Mexico and USA, and also makes Mexico a safer country, than it has been extremely productive for both nations.

I don't know if you understand how business works, but if your competitor is getting a T-shirt made in China for $0.09 a shirt, and you are manufacturing in America and can only get it down to $2.30 for the same quality of shirt, you are going to fail hard unless you also start outsourcing your production overseas to get competitive prices.

Hell even the businesses he has in the U.S. he makes sure to staff with cheap foreign labor.
Trump's decade-long record of hiring foreign guest workers
In his speech last week accepting the nomination at the Republican National Convention, Donald Trump said "The American People will come first once again."
But recent filings with the government show that two of the billionaire candidate's businesses have once again taken steps to bring in foreign workers to do jobs that critics say could be handled by Americans.
Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club and Jupiter Golf Club have filed documents to bring in as many as 78 foreign workers for the next fiscal year. In total, records filed at the U.S. Department of Labor and reviewed by CNN reveal that in the last 15 years, Donald Trump's various businesses have been granted approval to import at least 1,256 foreign guest workers.
The guest workers were brought in on a variety of different U.S. visa programs that allow companies to import workers temporarily from overseas.
Trump seems to like his overseas workers to be young and attractive, and with strong specific accents from Romania and South Africa -- countries that convey a well-heeled, exotic appeal, according to numerous former workers interviewed on background.
And Donald Trump especially likes the workers when they are women, who he lavishly tips, according to several of the former workers interviewed.
This is just some of the information CNN gleaned from numerous conversations with former and current Trump workers, and federal documents concerning Trump's imported workforce.

Trump has stated publicly that he cannot find Americans to take the jobs his properties give to foreign guest workers. "You cannot get help during the season. The season goes from like October to March. It's almost impossible to get help," Trump said earlier in the campaign, responding to why he hired foreign guest workers at his Mar-a-Lago club. "And part of the reason you can't get American people is they want full time jobs."
Trump's argument, in all cases of importing foreign workers, is that no Americans would accept the jobs he is offering, and that he tried his best to find Americans to work, but couldn't fill the positions. Trying to find Americans to fill the jobs is a requirement on the Department of Labor Visa Applications, and the Trump Organization claims it followed the regulations to the letter.
Despite his repeated assurances that he will bring jobs home to America, Trump uses an employment agency that specializes in overseas hires.
Most of the requests for foreign workers concerned the Mar-a-Lago Club, Trump's exclusive crown jewel property that is both a resort and sports club, nestled on the water of Palm Beach. In the past 10 years, 849 foreign guest workers were approved for the resort. Most of those were for servers, cooks, housekeepers or other similar positions.
A majority of these workers were brought in on what is known as H-2B visas and came from a small group of countries, according to current and former workers. The countries of preference: Romania and South Africa.

Yup, this guy is going to give jobs to Americans... When all he's done is give jobs to the Bangledeshi, Chinese, and Mexicans. He could easily open a tie, shirt, or hat factory in Detroit and give jobs to Americans who need them.

who cares, this is a non-issue. He was taking advantage of the rules already in place because that is how the system works now. That is why he's running for POTUS so that he CAN change the rules that he will undoubtedly follow and lead by example.

Is DonDadda dense or purposefully feigning ignorance?
I quote for him again:
This is what Trump is campaigning about. He wants American jobs to go to American workers. He is campaigning to remove the bureaucratic red tape that is preventing American companies-LIKE HIS OWN-from giving jobs to Americans in America.
Trump is becoming president partially because he wants to change the idiotic laws that force his own and other American businesses to outsource so much labor and manufacturing overseas to 3rd world countries.

and I like how idiots like "The man" like to say we "stole" the land from the Native Amerikans. Were not the natives stealing and fighting neighboring tribes and killing, cannibalizing them as they go? There was a whole culture of slaughtering and conquering. Stealing land was a way of life for them, and what went around came around for them.

The New York Times and the Washington post are a joke. They're like if Breitbart or Media-Matters were pretending to be objective "news" outlets. They're quite clearly not. They're in the business of left-wing advocacy just like how Breitbart or Fox-News are in the business of right-wing advocacy.
