Not a smart move. Curry was basically universally loved, but now all his non urban fans are going to turn on him.
Should have gone the Michael Jordan route and basically said nothing.

I think since the finals people have turned on him. This is just one more thing.

IMO Kap has done an important service in that the hysterical response to his protest has exposed the extent of nationalistic idolatry among so many in this country, and how many of those who talk the most about individual freedom are also paradoxically some of the biggest collectivists and statists.

If he wants to keep his white fan base, then yes. :confusedshrug:

You're a better poster then this, usually.
I agree that Blacklivesmatter is a problematic group, with a rather twisted agenda. But there's a fine line between trying to find the right solution then just 'pleasing white people' by supporting murder/accidents, since each case is different.
P.S: I'm not an American. But I also think that the sitting was a bad move. It didn't really do much for his cause.

I could give less than a fucc what a player does during the national anthem, it amazes me people care so much about such an inconsequential thing that has absolutely NO impact on their lives

I respect Kaepernick taking a stand, even if pointless, it is after all a right of every citizen of this great nation but it is simeltaneously disrespectful to the nation he lives in and earns his living ... Enjoying a more than comfortable way of life. So the essence of what he is standing up against by not celebrating the American flag and its anthem is paradoxical. As well as stupid.

Then you have stupid little 1st graders stopping for the national anthem on the way to school and people applaud the kid for it. cringe.
