One guy was hurt 85% of his career (yao ming) the other guy was a character who did nothing but go after rebounds.....who's more undeserving to be in the hall of fame.

When you put it that way, Yao
However, Dennis did far more than just go after rebounds. He was probably one of, if not THE most, versatile defenders of all time. Also one of the best and most effective
Yao was much better than people seem to remember, and while his numbers aren't Shaq-like by any means, his greatest impact went far, far beyond stats in his global impact and influence

It's basketball hall of fame, goes beyond playing.

Rodman: 8x all-defense (7 first teams) and 2x DPOY. He's considered one of the greatest defensive players in history.
But yeah, all he did was go after rebounds.
Even if he was solely a rebounder, when you're the greatest ever at one of the "big 3" stats, you're obviously going to be a HOFer.

I don't know if there are specific criterions, but to me both are first ballot

Mans won two DPOY's in the 90's and averaged 19 rebounds PER GAME and 18 RPG in consecutive seasons in the 90's (an era among elite big men) standing at only 6'7". 7 seasons straight averaging at least 15 rpg.
:lol
Not HOF worthy. Right.
