I place way more value in players that are forced to create their own shots at high volume like Kobe & are still reasonably efficient rather spot up shooters like Novak or Morrow who need to be birdfed.

1. Klay
2. Durant
3. Kyrie
4. Lillard
5. Harden
6. Redick
7. JR Smith
8. Devin Booker
9. PG
10. Dirk

You think Paul George is a better shooter than Carmelo Anthony?

Korver had a down year and I guess "bird-fed" but he's a top 10 shooter in the league no doubt.

CP3 is possibly one of the best all-around shooters in the league. His mid range game is almost automatic.

Sucks that he isn't aggressive with his shot, but i'd have him ahead of current Dirk.

Hard list to make my friend.

Look at Frye, in Phoenix/Cavs Playoffs run he was a sniper.

In Orlando he wilted.
It has alot to do with the system and the kind of looks you get.

I mean with some players like Curry/Klay you can tell they are creating their own shots, but with so many others it has something to do with the system using them right or not using them right.

Won't it be great when they lose again this year?

Will have to change name to Golden State Cucks ... if Bron and Kyrie have their way with Ayesha again.

As another poster observed, it's hard to view the shooter outside the system, which may enable or hinder him.

But I'd say:

1. Steph
2. Korver
3. Durant
4. Klay
5. Lillard
6. Kyrie
7. Reddick
8. Chris Paul
9. Leonard
10... ? This is very hard to do. I withdraw my list from official consideration... but there's an attempt.

JR Smith doesn't belong on this list, IMO. A heat-check player AND a catch-and-shoot player, and from 3 only. Not great from the line. I love JR but he's not in this class.

As for Korver being spoon-fed: Yes he's a catch and shoot player. But teams put an unbelievable amount of effort into making sure he's never open. They respect him more than anyone not named Steph, even now. I think he's gotta be #2. Players like Klay, Durant, Kyrie, Lillard are knock-down, but they get much more space because they're even more dangerous driving and creating. If like Korver all they had were their jumpers, you'd see they're not on his level IMO.

Make sure you have CP3 on this list.

His elbow J is automatic
His pull-up 3 game is nice

He shoots high %'s and rarely is the target of an assist. He's possibly the best off-the-dribble shooter in the league.

No Chris Paul? The guy who is by far the best mid range shooter in the league? Right.

Kyle Korver a better shooter than Klay Thompson?
Klay is too hot and cold for my taste.

Korver shot 50% from 3. For a whole season. Teams designed their defenses around him. 90% from the line as well.

I credit Klay because even if his shot is broke, he still gives you solid overall play. And when he's hot he's the best in the business besides Steph. But on average I will trust KD and Korver to make a 3 over him.
