Look how disastrous those super teams like the '80's Celtics & Lakers and '90's Bulls were for league interest and ratings

How can a team who won 57 reg. season games last year and w/o any All-NBA players (besides LeBron) be considered a superteam??
Same for the 2011 Heat. They won 58 reg. season games, yet were called a superteam.
If those 2 win totals = superteams, then there's been a shitload in the league over the years.

If the Cavs are not a super team then why are they the highest paid team in the league?

Nets and Knicks had the top 2 highest payrolls for the 2013-14 season.
They were called superteams?

The Nets, sure. With their KG and Pierce move.
But the Knicks?! Really?
Talk about underachieving.
Isn't that the year where they didn't make the playoffs?

Why are they never mentioned then?
KG was 37yrs old and avg 20mpg and PP was 36. Throw in Joe Johnson and Deron Williams and Brook Lopez and that = a superteam?

I guess the owners of these non "super teams" must just be magically throwing away their money then if another team that is considered to be a super team has a lesser payroll.....

LOL at Silver mentioning the Cavs as a superteam comparable to the Warriors! If Curry were to suffer a season ending injury in game 1 of the regular season the Warriors would STILL be heavy favorites to win it all.
If Lebron goes down with a season ending injury the Cavs just making the playoffs would be considered a successful season. :oldlol:
The Warriors are the ONLY superteam in the league, and everyone knows it.

bran stans desperately trying to hide the fact that lebron has been on a superteam the last 6 seasons. No wonder you see him as a top 3 player.

Superteams are based on rosters, not results. See the 2013 Superteam Lakers.

Magic & Bird were on superteams their entire careers, ditto Russell and he's a near consensus top 5 player. Jordan's team won 55 damn games after he retired, let's see a LeBron team ever do that

The 55 win Bulls has been debunked 100 times over. I see lestans constantly trying to use this to try and diminish Jordan.... it never works.
Let's see LeBron ensure that none of his finals ever goes to 7 games.
Oh wait.... too late.
The only reason why attention is not on full spotlight on lebron and his super team escapades is because KD just did the biggest bitch move of all time, so the spotlight is on him atm.

Yeah KD's is probably the biggest bitch move, 2nd and 3rd goes to lebron but I'm sure lebron's biggest bitch move is yet to come and might break KD's

Take Curry off of the Warriors and theyre still a threat to make the finals. Take Lebron off the Cavs and they may not make the playoffs. Lol at people who think Lebron plays on a superteam

Only a bum who's never played a sport would use the fact a championship round went to 7 games as an insult to someone's legacy. Yall mfs corny :facepalm :facepalm

Its weak and bad for the league, we all know this.

I'm with you on that. But to be fair, players need to level the playing field. They can't just sit around and allow one guy to keep creating superteams to get the advantage
