Iverson averaged more points while Kobe shot better from the field. Who do you think was the better scorer?

Easily Kobe.

More scoring records and a greater offensive repertoire while ALSO being more efficient.

Kobe but the margin isn't as great as some would have you believe. It is interesting though that AI had 4 years of putting up 30 PPG or above, and Bryant only has 3 years. The efficiency debate is too much to ignore.

Other than Kobe being a passive aggressive headcase at times... I think he was a better player than AI, and that's coming from someone who loves AI. He just seemed to do everything better cept probably handles, but Kobe was bigger.

It wasn't a huge gap, I guess, but it goes to show that Kobe was in fact a really good NBA player because we all know how good Iverson was.

Iverson. He did more with less. No way in hell does kobe make it to the finals in 01 with that sixer team. Kobe cant carry a team this is a fact.

Removing bench years behind Eddie Jones, you're basically looking at

Kobe 28 ppg on 45%
AI 27 ppg on 43%

Hell, people praise Kobe's 35 ppg season in 2006 after the delicate rule changes.

Little do the remember or forget AI put up 33 ppg. Just a basket less, and also saw an increase in efficiency.

Put AI with prime Shaq instead of past prime Mutumbo and he'd shooting 45+% too.

Iverson averaged more points but who ended up with the most points?

Kobe has the 3rd most points of all time and more playoff points than Iverson

He wouldn't be putting up the same volume though. He would see a dip of some kind. Just like what happened when he went to Denver and played with Melo. His efficiency increased. Slight drop in volume.

And like his issues playing in Denver, as seen during the Billups trade, he wouldn't be winning rings with Shaq like Kobe did because Bryant brought so much to the table defensively as well.

I factored in longevity because the ability to score when your athleticism fades shows how great of a scorer you are :confusedshrug:

Kobe by a comfortable margin. This is a joke thread.

After that, Lebron at 31, Arenas at 29, all career highs. Iverson's marked bump in efficiency on top of increased volume at 30-31 is especially interesting, for a 10 year veteran with a game based on speed/quickness.

That would imply that Malone is the 2nd greatest scorer of all time, ahead of Kobe, Jordan, Shaq, etc..

Well, going by Kobe turd "logic", AI should be the obvious pick here. :oldlol:
