Why not just get a cat? Most of these type of dogs I see have dirty, infected eyes and smell like piss.

Get a miniature pinscher, rat terrier, or Jack Russell if you like smaller dogs...best small dogs in the world. Have had all three at various times in my life.

Lab's energy is on tap. It's easily controlled or can be unleashed when hunting, field trial competing or just playing around.

Awww puppy.

I like big dogs, but I think mine is a good size for our place. Also I can carry her on the Subway in one of these, but not too small/light where she feels like a cat.
Take her to the bar without much hassle.

Man I couldn't say. Most purebreeds just lead to problems. I prefer mixed breeds with half a working dog like Aussie-Labs and Collie mixes.
