Via US to Canada.
I put an item up on craiglist. I got a response, but the customer lives in Colorado and I'm in Canada. He offered to pay via PayPal. Is that safe enough? Is there a better method? I asked the guy if he had a Skype account or take a picture with him and his ID to verify. But even that I'm not confident enough. Help!

The recipient of the paypal transaction is still able to claim the money back by filing a claim that your itm was not the indicated item or it is faulty. Stick to selling locally with cash. Meet at a local police station for good measure.

Thanks for the advice.
You don't know of another way to make a money exchange via US - Canada?
I was going to say send it with an illegal immigrant and it will for sure get through but that joke may be ill timed :lol

Paypal is still relatively safe but that option always exists that the recipient maymake a false claim. Wether PayPayl will believe them is up in the air. It's craigslist, chances are the person will be paying with a stolen paypal account or is a scammer.

So have I. But I have never done a long distance exchange. This item is fairly unique and a high ticket item. The money is pretty tempting as it would take a long time to sell this item
i wouldn't do it.
cash or no deal on craigslist.

What is the item? Ebay is always safer and would have much more potential buyer.
also, did this person try to low-ball you like all other mothafuggas on CL?
because if he didn't do any of that but, instead, acted like a gentleman, he's probably a scam.

He did exactly that. Good tip. He even offered to pay the shipping.

Actually it's Craigslist that you should avoid, I use Paypal so I don't have to enter my CC info every time I make a transaction.
