Wow, I'm surprised no one made a thread about this game yet. lol

Who has it? & do you like it? Any new small detail changes/tweaks that you like?

Got mine via PS Store, downloading, atm. Looking forward to play MyGM as always.

I might finally opt into 2k17 as my first ever 2k purchase and NBA purchase since NBA live for PS1

Improvement over 2k16. Defense feels a lot smoother. It felt really chunky to me last year.

MyCareer is wasting a lot of my time though. The beginning movies were killing me. Give me the option to watch them later! I made the mistake of exiting on one video and had to watch it again, so make sure you just stick with every cut scene.

MyPark mode feels a little better, as well. Haven't played with any teams yet, just building up my guy.

This, I got paid last night earlier than expected, went to download. Watched some of the Monday Night Football game and came back in when it went off thinking I was about to dive into myteam and mycareer and it was at 42% lol. I was like **** it and went to bed and let it finish. I took a half day today from work so I could go home and play.

I went and bought it last night at Walmart, threw it in the PS4, and it took a good hour and a half to "copy the game". Until it did that, all I could do is play the tutorial lol.

Usually I only play Myleague on 2k games, but I tried out Mycareer last night...and I'm hooked. Shit's dope, #11 draft pick out of Michigan State. Orlando now has 3 Balkan players on the team

You got to do WORK to level up, though. I'm at an 87 and now got to grind out practices to try and level up more. Looks like I can get one upgrade every 2-3 days after work if I only play MyCareer.

But MyPark comes a calling every so often.

I'm at 64 right now...it does seem pretty tedious, 3pt shooting is expensive af.

Defense is my main problem.

It sucks.

Question on the NBA 2k17 badges.

Are we only allowed to upgrade certain ones?

I am at 8 in game badges now and I can only upgrade 2 of them to gold. I'm trying to figure out how to upgrade the rest, but can't seem to find it.

This leads me to believe you can only earn gold badges on certain badges (the ones in the purchase/upgrade screen) and the rest you can only have bronze.

Can anyone confirm?

I'm surprised to hear that, post shot is the easiest one for me...my myplayer is 6'7 and balling with his hook shots :lol

I had actually forgot that it was 2K17. Feels and looks just like 16 so far to me. Just a little looser. Online still lags.

Currently working on MyGM, it's not as easy as 2K16.

I like :

The new archetypes. 2k16 was all a bunch of player who can do it all. Now, you have so much more variety, especially in my park online. Defenders, playmakers, shooters, shot creators, rebounders and slashers. The park gameplay feels so much more unique compared to last year.

No more players than can shoot lights out from 3, kill you in the post, slash like prime Wade and defend like MJ.

I myself made a PF Lockdown Defender and, once you get those hall of fame badges which you can upgrade, it is sick. You can lockdown just about anyone.

Im sorry but we not playing the same game. The archetypes was a neat idea but there's only 3 archetypes that everyone use.

The sharpshooters and stretch bigs are Op. Ldd and paint protector need a boost. Honestly the other archetypes can do what the Ldd can but with better offense.

Gameplay still feel sluggish and it feels like something pulling you in the opposite direction. Defense still holds no weight.

The grind is ridiculous and boring. There's so many flaws in the game.

How do you even drive against CPU? I turned body-up sensitivity to 0 in my game sliders & I'm still having trouble driving to the basket. No other choices but to run PNR & it's starting to feel unrealistic.

Hit em with a nice combo dribble.

This 2k was bad for My Career players. Head to head gamers? Probably not outside of early month or two of fake were the VC glitch took over that mode. I don't play any Team to comment. But My career? That's all I play and this year it's been awful. Almost felt like a BETA for 2k18. I haven't played a 2k game that had this many patches before. I don't know where to start off bashing this game. unfortunately Live 18 demo was poop so 2k lives to see another year of competition free.
