Seems to be a big rumor.

But doesn't seem credible to me.

Why? What does he gain?

The only way I can see it happening is if Trump reached out and apologized.

Which seems like exactly the thing that Kellyanne Conway would try to get him to do.

Absent that I don't see this as a credible rumor.

CNN is now saying that Cruz will endorse Trump. Looks like I was right.

Just saw this article

and it seems like there is a lot of external pressure for him to endorse.

Also now you believe CNN?

I don't think it's a coincidence that they're reporting it the same day that it has spreading in conservative circles.

From what I've heard, the deal was for Cruz to have some input on some additional SCOTUS picks to be added to the list that Trump put out a while ago. This has been floating around for 4 or 5 days now, but today it seems to be for real and that his endorsement will happen before the debate, possibly today.

If it happens, I think late on Friday is when they would do it.

Twitter is all about it.

It doesn't make Cruz or Trump look good to me. Trump is a break from usual GOP, but turns SCOTUS choices over to Cruz?

Why? What does he gain?

He has no career after that stunt he pulled at the RNC.

Bending the knee to Trump gives him a chance at gaining his political career back.

The chance at re-election.

The chance at re-election.

Trump is not popular in Texas.

would Cruz be doing this if Polling was still like it after the Dem's convention?

Found the reason.

Robert Mercer is big funder of Cruz. He backs Trump now.

Still curious how they do this without Cruz looking weak.

Cruz doesn't want to get primary'd. As it stands right now, the party would probably support any republican to run against Cruz. There are rumors of Rick Parry or Mike McCaul challenging Cruz in 2018.

Just in. Looks like it's definitely happening today.

Cruz will look weak because he is weak. His support means very little at this point in the grand scheme of things.

Still good to see him bending the knee, from a moral standpoint.

Have some humility my dear friend. Bottom line, Hillary cannot be President.

She's an evil witch incarnate or is a cyborg and will launch Skynet once elected.

In the overall picture, if people are pissed at Cruz I don't really see how this gets them unpissed.

But if he wants access to Robert Mercer's money, he probably needed to do this.

I live in Texas and he is gaining in popularity here. People were definitely unsure about him during the primaries but they are warming up to him fast. Even my parents who are Marco Rubio neocons have decided to support him. It's not exactly rocket science that he'd become popular among traditional red state conservatives when his opponent is Hillary Clinton.

Yup she's a Killer Death Robot who requires 24 hour medical attention or she'll die! All at the same time.

You're right.

I can't hate on Cruz for doing the right thing.

Trump fam is united, despite our differences in some political views. We are not a hivemind like the Shookocrats.

Trump will never release his taxes, too much dirty shit in there, so obvious to all but Trump trolls.

Good for Teddy.

He wants to be a part of the movement and quite frankly I don't mind a guy that fights tooth and nail for the constitution even though I don't think he is presidential material.
