View Full Version : Lets be real here... The Jazz basically threw the game versus Kobe

The so called "Legendary" game against them by Kobe is bull shit.

Why would they do that you ask?

-Houston clinched the 8 seed, Jazz get nothing for beating the lowly lakers

-A better draft pick. They were able to get a higher pick by losing versus getting nothing by winning

-Wanted to celebrate Kobes career with a show for the stans

-marketing tactic

Jazz threw the game plain and simple. Its annoying have kobe stans keep mentioning this game as if it means anything. Why couldn't kobe have this great of a game versus OKC 1 game prior?

If you watched the game you know how tough they were playing Kobe on defense thats why he missed 28 of his shots :facepalm

If they were trying to throw it, they did a very bad job.

It's like a boxer throwing a fight but knocks down his opponent multiple times before getting KOed.

sure, so they can go fishing instead of heading into playoff.

With the amount of shots he put up it's not amazing anyway.

My friends have made comments like that, but honestly the defense on him looked legit. Even if the Jazz were bounced from the playoffs moments before the game started.

lol I don't think he had one easy shot the entire game. You're delusional.

This is slightly over exaggerated because Kobe is content with taking bad shots.

Honestly it was particularly showing in some of their terrible misses on the offensive side at the end..

I've had the thought for awhile that the Jazz weren't really "up for the game" having been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs earlier that day (I think). That would deflate anyone, and then you have to go play a road game that means nothing to you where no one even cares that you're on the court.

Definitely wasn't their A-game, but I can't point to any specific examples where I'd think "see? They let him have it". He's highly overrated all-time, but Kobe made some big-time shots that game.

meltdowns and stans aside, i think most reasonable posters have come to the conclusion that this game was average at best considering the level of competition.
