Many times when you see Coachs, Players, GMs and even Owners discuss their plans for the team, or their maintained success/lack of success they refer to this term we know as 'Culture'.

Some of the most obvious 'Cultures' in the league are in two (Or at least were) teams that couldn't be more different.

Let's take the Memphis Grizzlies and the Houston Rockets.
Both saw some success with both making it to the WCF once in the last 5 years.

Houston Rockets
One is very heavy on anayaltics, savy on data, believes in the art of the Layup/3PT or bust, anything in between is blasphamous and free throws are not a bonus, they are bread and butter. Their Offense is a joy to watch(except when Harden/Howard went to the line too ofte and it stopped the game), filled with cross court passes, four players standing behind the arc at a time and what some would say is a lack of effort on defense, and sometimes in general. Flashy, stingy and darn efficent (At most times.)

Memphis Grizzlies
The other is a dinosaur, in a way. Having perhaps one of the best post scorer in our league in Zach Randolph (though he did decline lately) and a heavy footed tank in the paint in the form of Marc Gasol. Defense first, grit and grind, go inside and get that and-one. Next man up, no days off unless you're in the stretcher or your arm is broken. Injuries have ravaged this team, some would say due to their physical style of play.

My question is this,

What is your favorite NBA 'Culture' (You can pick from any era)
And what is the one you think is the most deterimental? (Aka Sixers three-year long Bunker mentality.)
And do you think that there are Teams without defined cultures, and if so, did it hurt them?

The Lebron culture.

Accumulate the most talent in the league in the offseason = win

Golden State recently switched from the grow talent culture to the Lebron culture.

the only culture in the nba is the stack the decks with talent and then create a 'culture' to suit such talent.

Unless companies in the real world where a culture is established and then you hire people and make them fit the culture, The NBA collects franchise pieces and then creates a culture to fit them. Its a fake thing which is why you always see NBA culture change because its not a real culture, its player dependent.
