There are a lot of major subjects that he didn't touch at all about Hillary. Do you think he's doing the "no one remembers the first two debates so just kill it on the last debate," thing?

All Trump had to do last night was look like the good guy and he did exactly that. It was a different Trump up their last night but same old Hillary.
If anything and why so many polls have him winning the debate is because he came off genuine and sincere.
Everyone saw through the bias moderator and Clinton. It was her time to soften up people's perception about her but she didn't do that.
Nothing can be used against him now. She showed everything just like she is telling ISIS what she is going to do.

Trump doesn't need to "win" the debate (although most polls say he did). He needs to make the debates just kinda boring and not very memorable.

People have to remember both candidates have some shitty approval ratings from the start and this is a presidential debate. So in theory, each candidate should lose that public perception about them.
I think Trump did it last night and I don't think Hillary did that. Remember her whole campaign was about attacking Trump?
Look at the minutes in the debate...

Trump won because he talked about legit and specific policies instead of talking in circles. He wasn't lecturing like Hillary and he was very positive versus Hillary's doom and gloom rhetoric about Trump's character. Obviously his character is just fine if he made it this far.
The American public is not stupid. At least I hope not.

No. It would be very bad strategy to do this.

It's not that Trump didn't bring up these issues. The moderator didn't. And it's not because the moderator was "biased". The debate had a specific number of themes that these issues didn't fall into. The other debates will have other themes and these questions will be asked.

people don't learn .. it's not about 'winning' or 'losing' debates with trump .. how many times did people say trump didn't do well at his 11 other debates .. didn't matter .. it's about perception .. and perception is once again favoring Trump from all indications

they were listening .. that smug condescending clown face didn't go unnoticed .. independent focus groups easily favored trump during the debate

His perception last night is that he is a Birther racist billionaire who is proud to never pay taxes and believes China invented climate change. That's the perception everyone watching got last night.

no .. that's your perception and I suspect your had the same wrong perception in his 11 other debates .. people are favoring him .. because clinton is a robot politician with a shit record .. trump came off authentic, genuine and human .. clinton looked like what she is .. she can't escape it .. I'm not the only one saying this
her zingers, smiles, and smirks come off as very "elitist", snarky, snobby
I think anybody who is not already her groupy or not completely anti trump will see how she treats people in a condescending way. Nobody liked the snobby smart girl in school who talked to people that way. It was no different when she face off against Obama
It is just hard to feel a connection with that woman
also, independents were favoring him during the debate .. crooked hillary's image was already set and only cemented it last night .. the funny thing is that she's been trying to make out trump to be a 'bully' for months and she turned out to be the 'bully' last night.. hold that L crooked hillary

He threw his punches, they just didn't hurt her. She put in the roadwork and was ready for the fight. He tested her chin and she shook it off. He was frustrated and arm weary the rest of the night.

Trump came off as an unpolished, uneducated, lying buffoon. Hillary wasn't robotic. She was flawless. She meticulously dissected and dismantled Trump in every aspect with masterful precision. There is a reason why Hillary has a Law background before she went into politics. She is legit, she is the real deal. Trump is a studio gangster. Trump got his daddy's money, he got his daddy's connects, and as we all know money makes money. He got away with being a dumbass delinquent as interest and dividends did the rest. Anything besides that was created, contemplated, and completed by a board of advisers, not by the creativity of The Donald. He is a phony and now he has thoroughly been exposed.

All Trump needs to do is stay on point and point out Hillary as the establishment candidate, asking the public if they are happy with the status quo, especially the trade imbalance that Bernie supporters are concerned with. Most of his material last night was pathetic and when he tries too hard to get into it, he becomes emotional, and starts babbling off topic like I've seen very few politicians do. He's at a Sarah Palin cringe level now. Palin was a likeable, attractive, down to earth female though. Trump is an alpha male, so he will get little sympathy if he starts babbling again.
His offensive game was what most people thought he'd do damage with but his material is weak AF. You never want to see someone lead with what is contrary to their nature, but damn he's hurting himself badly. Somethings gotta change.

Wrong.
Not according to the American people.

The media bias in favor of Clinton is backfiring. It's making Clinton come off as an establishment croney, and it's making Trump come off as a plucky outsider, like Rocky Balboa.
If Lester Holt was less biased with his "moderating", the people probably would have been kinder towards Clinton's debate performance.
It was mainly because of Holt's moderating that she came across to the Americans watching the debates as smug and elitist, rather than poised and presidential.
If the Democrats want to turn this race around, the media needs to rethink their strategy. They are making their bias too obvious.

when you get past all the liberals thumping their chests and setttle down, you see Trump landed multiple killshots and had the upperhand on crooked hillary many times last night .. all this while debating against a 3rd person(holt).. she came off robotic and scripted .. .. clinton had the moderator on her side the whole time .. never grilled her on anything but went after trump repeatedly .. sweet deal there ..
