As many of you may already be aware of I am a Die Hard Obama fan but I am also a fan of Hillary as well. Trump is in no way a contending candidate and is one of the weaker candidates in the race. There are no excuses for Hillary to get blown out at home by Trump. Hillary had 9 lies and only 4 truths and a sub par arguing night as well. Hillary cannot dominate the discussion as much as she does if our party is going to have a successful campaign. Tim Kaine is an excellent running mate and debater and needs to initiate the argument more. Hillary is not an out of the spotlight candidate but she needs to do something if our party is going to go anywhere. Trump is not only a threat on the stage he is just as much of a threat off the stage. That is why Republicans are able to thrive with defensive minded candidates. The Republicans have an amazing supporting cast with multiple All-Stars this year. If Hillary can take a page from Trump's playbook and add another element to her campaign to compensate for her dwindling health status we may have a chance at winning the White House.

They both looked awful...
Trump looked like a 12 year old (I HATE when people interrupt each other).
Clinton sounded like a librarian, spouting off facts like a robot that nobody cares about.
America loses.

Clinton dominated him which kinda shocked me.
I expected Trump to spot off a bunch a rhetorical nonsense to capture the hearts of the feeble minded and angry senior citizens, but he didn't even do that well.
Hillary did a good job considering her lack of charisma.
Trump just came off as unprepared. The moderator did just about as good of a job as hurting him as clinton did.

The Washington Post - Hillary won (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/09/26/winners-and-losers-from-the-1st-presidential-debate/)
Fortune Magazine - "Hillary Clinton won" (http://fortune.com/2016/09/26/presidential-debate-who-won/)
EVEN FOX NEWS THINKS HILLARY WON (http://insider.foxnews.com/2016/09/26/who-won-debate-trump-clinton-face)

Nobody does...
August 2015, Clinton declares "under penalty of perjury" that she turned over all work-related emails.
During Hillary's time at State, Petraeus led US Central Command, then was director of the CIA -- so obviously most of the emails between himself and America's top diplomat would entail formal government business. The FBI discovered that Hillary's lawyers had unilaterally deleted roughly 1,000 of those messages, most of which were recovered through other means (this does not include any official emails Team Clinton managed to permanently destroy). Mrs. Clinton insisted repeatedly that she had turned over every single email "that could possibly be work-related," going so far as to over-share emails that were later deemed to be personal in nature. This was false. In reality, she and her attorneys withheld thousands of work-related emails, including these correspondences with Petraeus.

I've been a fan of Hillary all my life. I love her explosive, fast break approach to debating. But the one thing we all have learned over the years, defense wins championships. Donald defending himself incredibly last night and it paid dividends. I gotta admit, Donald won.
Clinton massacred him. Especially with the taxes.

Those are widgets. They are not scientific polls. They can easily be gamed or swarmed.
CNN did an actual poll of about 550 people. PPP did one of about 1,000 people Trump did not win these.

[QUOTE]The Mexican peso rebounded from a record low, a sign investors may perceive Hillary Clinton outperformed Donald Trump in the first U.S. presidential debate.
The currency rose 1.5 percent to 19.5854 per dollar as of 9:54 a.m. in New York, the biggest gain across 24 emerging-market currencies. In a CNN/ORC*poll*of debate watchers, 62 percent said Clinton won the exchange. The candidates clashed over trade, the economy and race relations.*The peso earlier advanced as much as 2.2 percent, after it had borne the brunt of investor anxiety about the November election, sinking to an all-time low of 19.9333 before the clash between the U.S. politicians.

also no one's talking about it but holt was very biased .. why is a moderator showing bias ? .. never pressed clinton on anything .. did it often with trump .. he was clearly 'on her side' .. just more disgusting behavior from the media .. this is truly a trump vs. the world campaign .. it's amazing and impressive he's gotten this far

How? I don't think any one paid much attention to him when he wasn't asking questions. He lost control very early on with the candidates and audience doing whatever they felt like.

How Trump won over a bar full of undecideds and Democrats
YOUNGSTOWN, Pa. — Ken Reed sat down at the main bar of the Tin Lizzy tavern with two things in mind: to dig into the tavern’s oversize cheese steak, and watch the presidential debate.
“I am hungry and undecided, in that order,” he said, digging into the savory dish in a bar that dates back to 1746.
Kady Letoksy, a paralegal by day, a waitress and bartender at night at the Tin Lizzy, sat beside him. At 28, she has never voted before, and she is now thinking it might be a good idea to start.
Letosky entered the evening undecided in a town that is heavily Democratic in registration. Her sister and father are on opposite sides of the political aisle. Donald “Trump had the upper hand this evening,” she said, citing his command of the back-and-forth between him and Hillary Clinton.
Reed, 35, is a registered Democrat and small businessman. “By the end of the debate, Clinton never said a thing to persuade me that she had anything to offer me or my family or my community,” he said, sitting at the same bar that has boasted local icons as regulars, such as the late Fred Rogers, and Arnold Palmer, who had his own stash of PM Whiskey hidden behind newer bottles of whiskey for his regular visits.
“Have to say Trump had the edge this evening, he came out swinging but also talked about specifics on jobs and the economy,” Reed said.

Hillary talking about shutting down the coal mines lost her PA.
Her anti-weed stance and the DNC treatment of Bernie lost her CO.

There are too many alts voting multiple times, so unless we have a professional poll, these polls are just for fun.
And it applies to online political polls too.

Indeed. The professional polls/focus groups released post Humbling at Hofstra:

83% of Democrats called it for Clinton, and 68% of Republicans said that Trump won. Among independents, however, sentiment clearly favors Hillary. 54% of independents who watched the debate say that Clinton won, compared to 28% who say that Trump won.

Go on. Keep ignoring the will of the people.
See how far it gets you.
This is exactly what the remainers said pre-Brexit.
"The only people voting Leave are trolls, when the actual referendum comes around Remain is going to win by a comfortable margin."
History is repeating itself. I love watching this.
I look forward to watching the post-election meltdowns from the lefty media after Trump wins in a landslide.
Watching BBC during brexit results was hilarious but this is going to be even better. Don Lemon is probably going to erupt in tears on live TV.

Hillary won because of 2 things:
1. She didn't come across as a cold hearted bitch.
2. She didn't get defensive.
As far as specific policies she was predictably vague, as all politicians are, but as long as she stuck to #1 and 2 above she was going to prevail.

I honestly feel like most of the damage Trump took last night was damage he inflicted on himself.

Agreed. He allowed Hillary and Lester Holt to hone in on some ridiculous statements. It also helped that Holt tossed softballs to Hillary and didn't follow up. I think the next debate is a town hall, which should be more favorable to Trump.

I don't even see how Trump lost the first 30 minutes...In the first 30 Hill explained how she plans to fix the wage gap (because that was the question asked) and Trump goes on long random rant about different things that are a 'disaster' in the country.
He spends 5 minutes talking about how our airports need to be cleaned up, and how Dubai has better airports.
Only a billionaire thinks cleaning up airports is a major priority...he can't relate to common people at all, and it's obvious. Even when he goes out of his way to visit poor black communities, he makes ridiculous statements (what do you have to lose?) that let people know he has no idea what they go through.
