View Full Version : Deron Williams was really good during his playing years under Coach Jerry Sloan.

He was like a top 2-3 point guards in the NBA. Excellent numbers in the regular season, and he was averaging 23/10 in the playoffs with the Jazz.

People forget he was almost the same level as CP3.

He was NEVER almost on the same level as CP3. He was a system player who once he was given freedom completely fell apart. CHRIS PAUL IS THE SYSTEM. Williams has also been a joke defensively his entire career which would make it impossible for them to be "almost on the same level" when CP3 has been a top 3-5 PG defender his entire career.

ISH has been full of morons during it's entire existence...that's pretty much a known fact by everyone.

For a while it really was between him and Paul for the #1 spot.

There was a time where it was debated, as Williams was playing great and he was torching Paul head to head, with his team winning majority of the time.
However against the rest of the NBA, Paul's play was generally superior.

Whatever people thought back then...hindsight has obviously shown that Williams was more a product of Jerry Sloan and his offensive system than he was close to as good as CP3.

TBH neither have achieved jack shit in the playoffs AKA when it matters. Sure there are some numbers but what about some winning?

Deron drove Sloan out of the NBA and was a hack at the Nets.

Paul is the biggest whiny flopping douchebag in NBA history.

I'd rather talk about Kobe and Lebron probably.

Nah he wasn't nearly as good as CP3.

Like what did deron had a shot of winning the MVP?

Hew is the definition of a system player. Sloan made him a star, he sh!t on the team. He changed teams, he became a nobody.
In Sloans system he was one of the best PGs in the league.

Deron Williams was super lucky to be facing the warriors in the semi finals. He was even outplayed by Baron Davis

2011-2012 he averaged 21.0 PPG and 8.7 APG coming back from an injury.

Including a whooping 57 points vs Bobcats

The first part of your statement is true.

The latter is not. People don't recognize that they're morons. They're either emotionally or intellectually incapable of doing so. There's maybe 10 to 20 people of above average intelligence on this board though their style of posting indicates that there are 100+ people on this board that think they're geniuses.

I challenge you to find ANYONE that thinks they're not AT THE LEAST... of average intelligence.

Nobody is going to tell you that they're stupid... almost everyone is going to tell you that they're above average intelligence which is obviously an impossibility. The reality is that even people of average human intelligence are, in point of actual fact, stupid.

Pretty sure he got injured in his foot multiple times, that made it impossible for him to ever move around the court the same way again, unfortunately..

There was definitely a time when people thought he was on CP3's level. It was warranted too imo

He was never close to Chris Paul, period.
