Because no player has ever gotten better as they have aged. He is all of 21 years old and is a phenomenal athlete. His career has just started and will easily surpass Spanoulis.

I would bet that NBA teams, given the choice between the 2 would generally every day of the week take Giannis over Spanoulis. Spanoulis maybe a living legend in euro basketball, but he was never good enough to be anything more than a bench player in the NBA.

Perhaps Spanoulis game does not translate to the NBA.
