Once more I'll stick to the modern ones,
because it wasn't that exciting to watch games who result I knew beforehand.
Not that it wasn't entertaining, but watching a Celtics- Lakers games from the 80s isn't as fun when you know what's going to happen.

So I'll go with these few, in no particular order

Pacers Vs Heat Eastern Conference Finals Game 1 2013
(Ended with a Lebron James Layup at the last second, I think I was really, really caught off guard by how good the pacers were. I thought the Heat were just going to brutalize them. That series ended up being really cool)

OKC Vs Golden State Regular Season 2016 ]
That game that ended in Overtime with Steph Curry drilling a 500 footer to seal the game. Wow. I was on the edge of my seat like half the overtime period.

Timberwolves Vs Golden State Regular Season 2016
My favorite Wolves game so far, 69win warriors vs 25win Wolves (at the time)

GSW starts the game 28-11, The Wolves manage to catch up but things really stay tight throughout the 4th. Then, with 30 seconds left, Karl Anthony towns is guarding Draymond green in the post, he does not back down and shuffles his feet properly, causing Draymond to get called for a travel.

106-104, Timberwolves ball.

19.8 Seconds to go, Wiggins starts his patented turn-around layup from the free throw line and puts it in above Iggy's head.

106-106. We go to Overtime.

Wolves win it 124-117.

That's mine guys, would love it if you guys shared your favorites.

Definitely this.

George hitting that 3 and getting fouled at the end of over time was just like (no fcking way that pacers are gonna go up over the heat in the ecf in Miami what the fck is going on"

I really started to notice and appreciate Paul George in that series

Kinda sucks to think we didn't have a proper ECF since, huh?

2014 Pacers just weren't the same, were one transcendet PG game from being beat 4-1, 2015 Hawks were a complete joke, and the Toronto raptors looked pretty happy with their two 'Token' wins in the ECF.

But yeah a stepping out party for PG.

Definetly good picks from what I understand.
I hear that the Lakers- Blazers series was a bloodbath. I wish I could've seen it live.

The best game I watched live was game 3 of the 1st round of the 2010 Playoffs, Lakers @ Thunder. The crowd was so LIT and I've been chasing that high every since.

I will never forget this sequence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9N7ZwdSCMl8

Makes me even more mad that Durant left.

Durant hitting those amazing shots and the crowd going insane is what I'm gonna miss most about his tenure there.

06 Mavs - Spurs game 7 - even though the Spurs lost - still one of my favorite games and series.

And for a Spurs fan - nothing can touch 2014 NBA Finals games 3, 4 and 5 - just out of this world play.

Honestly, the better, more memorable games I've watched in recent years have been college games.

The best game I think I ever watched was that Duke-Syracuse game a couple years back (2013 or 14). Wichita State-Gonzaga was another awesome game and Kentucky have been in some fun tournament games in the Calipari era: Princeton and Ohio State in 2011, Louisville in 2014 and Notre Dame in 2015 are the ones that spring to mind.

Also, game 7 in this years finals was up there.

This is not what the OP asked, but the two best playoff series in recent memory were the 2009 EC first round between the Bulls and Celtics and the 2014 first round between the Grizzlies and Thunder. Those fourteen games saw eight of them go into at least 1 OT. Game 6 of the aforementioned '09 series went into triple OT.

What game was that?

Seems like a must-watch.

Two of those are near blowouts.
Awesome if you love the Cavs.
Not that awesome from an entertaining point.

Game 7 was legendary though.
Those last few minutes were amazing.

Game 7 of '16 NBA Finals- The national library of congress needs to archive this whole series. It was literally like a movie. I was working at Bdubs during game 7 and I never seen an atmosphere like this. Curry vs. LeBron deadass had people hating each other. Wild ass game, with NBA history moments in there. I can always watch this game and my heart will go crazy the same way.

Game 6 of '13 NBA Finals- As a Heat fan this game lives with me forever; I did not think there was any chance we'd win the game. But thanks to Young Kawhi and A heroic Chris Bosh rebound, we some how pulled it out. Instant classic.

Game 7 of '10 NBA Finals- I was too young to really understand Kobe's playoff greatness, this was my first opportunity to actually watch and appreciate Kobe's greatness. Didn't shoot all that well but, game 7, historic rivalry, you get the gist.

Some obvious ones are 2016 game 7 finals, 2013 game 6/7 Finals

Even though it was the first round, 2015 Spurs/clippers game 7 was amazing. I was actually at the game and I just remember the 4th quarter was insane. Close game the whole time, but everyone was making plays in the 4th. Such high quality offense with the series on the line. Also, seeing Chris Paul will his team to victory with that bummed hamstring was awesome.

Game 6 of the 2013 finals for me is, and always will be, the biggest emotional rollercoaster of a game I've ever seen. It was like a sn improbable movie. The spurs were annihilating miami through 3 quarters and the heat fans started to boo, sensing defeat. Then Lebron went into God mode and had 16 4th quarter points in the space of 7 minutes or so, on 6-7 shooting along with several assists and an enormous block ok Duncan.

Just when it looked like it was Miami's game, they completely capitulate with 34 consecutive turnovers while the spurs took a 5 point lead with 28 seconds remaining.
The next part still seems like a dream. It was as close to impossible as anything I've seen in the nba finals, and likely ever will.

They were literally ROLLING THE CHAMPIONSHIP ALONG THE ISLE AND PUTTING UP YELLOW TAPE AROUND THE ARENA.
That game was insane.

Honorable mentions are game 6 of the 1998 finals, game 7 of the 2016 finals, game 4 of the 2008 finals, and game 1 of the 1997 finals.
Not too bad either were games 6 of this past years finals and game 7 of the 2013 finals. Houston somehow winning game 1 of the 95 finals was also incredible.

I agree with half of this. I might put Clippers Spurs up there over Grizz Thunder however. Game 7 especially was great. The level of play on offense was also extremely high. Bulls and Celtics is still the best imo and OP should watch every game except game 3 again if he can. The clutch play was absurd.

Brewer, Howard and Josh Smith went absolutly bonkers. 3pts, ally oops, transition offense and defense. It was beautiful to watch.

And catch this, Harden was on the bench for that insane run.

Kobe's last game.

I don't care what anyone says, that was the greatest NBA game I've ever seen

I don't care if he took 50 shots
I don't care if Utah were missing starters
I don't care that Jazz were playing for nothing

I've never felt more emotions watching a basketball game then I have when I watched that

I saw it live at work man. At my night shift. Started at 5 AM for me.
Damn that was exciting, seeing everyone having speeches, Magic talking about him, all the people in the audiance. You almost felt like the Jazz felt bad about being there. But the game was suprisingly competetive, heck, in the last 4 minutes I think most people thought to themselves that Utah's winning this, and it's fine. Then suddenly the Lakers won.

As someone who didn't watch Kobe as much in his prime, I still enjoyed this immensly. Great way to go out, fitting of his persona and career.
