Jeff was wondering if it had anything to do with it.
I haven't been following much basketball in the off season so did he bulk up or what?

God damn, the Sixers just can't catch a break. Embiid is out 2 years, finally looks like he's coming back, then the Sixers #1 pick this year breaks his foot. :facepalm

Honestly you can't feel bad. This is karma for purposely tanking all those years.

Might just be.
Still, it really sucks to see it happening. It's not those player's fault that their Organization started this shit storm.
I actually feel really bad for most players who were drafted for them. Sure, they are making millions of dollars and what not, but you can't help but feel that this Sixers team is deterimental for their careers.

This board has gone to shit today. Karma? You shouldnt feel bad? 76ers deserve to have this happen to them?
Do you clowns ever think for one second about the players themselves?

It does suck for the players. But how can you feel bad for the organization? Were 76er games exciting these past couple years knowing they were going to lose every game? This is what happens when you put out a shitty product for so long.

wasn't nerlens noel also out his first season with an injury?

:biggums:
And Dario Saric choose to stay a season overseas.
And Andrew Bynum got injured the moment the got him.
And Jru Holiday also got injured real bad.
Really the Sixers are experiencing lots of bad luck lately. Even before the Tanking fiesta.

Horrible news to hear for the number-one pick. Because of how straining a big-man's hefty center of gravity can be on the foot and how far away the foot is from the heart, foot injuries are one of the hardest injuries to recover from; for that reason, I wouldn't be surprised if yet another 76ers rookie is sidelined for the season.
I feel bad for Simmons, but that's only on an individual level; how I feel on an organizational level is a different story, and I'm going to be candid; it's hard for many of us to feel bad for the hit the 76ers organization itself will take knowing how they reaped this number-one pick to begin with.
It's hard to feel good for a team that artificially tanks in order to stockpile high-end draft picks to begin with, especially to those of us who are fans of rebuilding-mode teams that organically ended up in the lottery only to get the shorter end of the stick partly due to the out-drafting 76ers; therefore, is it really much of a surprise that we're unsympathetic to the team itself when such setbacks happen?

That really sucks. The 76ers were looking like they were going to have a pretty positive season this year too even if they still lose a lot of games, which they will.
Hopefully he isn't out for the year and it's just a minor setback.

Injuries suck and I hope he recovers quickly but don't forget who was one of the first people calling this guy a bust.
LeBron's durability will never be matched, the comparisons can end now!

Sucks, but do we know the details yet? If it's just an avulsion fraction he should be good in a couple months or so with good treatment, if it's a Jones fracture it's a whole different beast. Gotta hope it's the former.

Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons have the potential to the best two man combination in Philadelphia hospital system history.

Yeah, but are you going to spring him comes February assuming the Playoffs aren't an option?
Wow Sixers fans can't catch a break. Shame their players can...

Really unfortunate for them. At this point, what would be the reason for actually paying to support this team? They keep saying trust the process, but everything that could go wrong has.
Embiid better be a stud, or its another 2-3 years of agony for their fans.
