No, but picking his Houston days when he was 'clearly' fat/out of shape isn't probably the best example of what you're saying.

Noone will ever confuse him with Karl Malone, but quite clearly more sleek here.

Their games where very similar. Barkley had a bit of an outside game though and was better ballhandler, shooter, passer and rebounder. Shaq was a better shot blocker and was unstoppable inside.

Muscle tone does not determine strenght.
