So last April I deliberately made an effort to get into baseball, knowing that it would be the only sport on during the summer months.
It's actually not a bad sport (i used to think it was so boring) once you understand the pitching nuances. But its still missing a lot of excitement to me. Maybe I needed to play it growing up to enjoy it more.
Then came football last month, and I love football, but i believe football is better if you can get behind a whole team (as opposed to a specific player (s)), and I really feel no allegiance to my home team or any other team. It's a team game where no one player can have that big of as a bball super-star, besides the QB. There's also way too much going on in a football game that you can't even process unless you break down film (and have access to the all-22 cams), so i don't even feel like i know what's actually happening out there.
So I'm eagerly awaiting bball, a sport that's given me star players to root for and star players to root against. And a game where I actually can see everything on the camera view (all 10 players are usually in view...as opposed to football where the only people in view are the Offensive and Defensive Line battles) and feel like i actually can analyze the game with true knowledge of what is happening.
30 more days guys
