I think a lot of teams were watching Cav's and War's finals and seeing the extra pass created openings and open looks, that transcend to easier shoot selections.

Look at early 2015.
Everyone were trying to imitate the 2014 Spurs. It was passing too.

I didn't get to watch much of the preseason.
Watched RMD Vs OKC and Utah Vs Portland.

I'll wait for the regular season but I think the 3PT trend is going to go even stronger this season.
