I saw a similar case in TN or KY where the guy raped a baby, killed it, and served 6 years of his 20 year sentence. He's due out this month. How the **** that is considered 'justice', I don't know.

If I understand correctly, some prisoners are released early because of overcrowding. I hear a statistic the other night - nearly 50% of prisoners in federal prisons are there because of drug offenses. Real justice would be serves to those who deserve it if drug offenders weren't being imprisoned on exaggerated sentences.

IMO, there are some people who commit crimes that, honestly, should never again see the light of day.

But that's too mean these days. We are protected from cruel and unusual punishment in this society, but if the punishment fits the crime, it's not cruel or unusual.
