Who do you think wins in a best of 7 series? Both of these teams went into game 7, and beat the Warriors and Celtics respectively.

Its like 3 pointers vs big men.

Talent is more concentrated in today's NBA than it was in 2010. The Cavs would win in 5-6, imo. The league has changed in the last five years.

Kevin Love would also have a huge role against more conventional big men.

So much this. As a lakers fan, I believe that Love/Tristan would FEAST on Gasol. Kyrie would abuse Fisher/Farmer. Matchup nightmare for the Lakers.

The Lakers have 2 all-stars (Kobe and Gasol)

The Cavs only have 1 all-star (LeBron)

Would be tough for the Cavs tbh, but we all know LeBron is the greatest elimination game player ever, and Kobe is the worst. So that could make things interesting.

And lebron would wreck Mr 6/24:roll:
He switch to guard Kyrie and Kyrie would hang 40 on his behind:roll:

bad matchup for the lakers. 2016 cavs had a lot of size with thompson/love/mozgov/lebon/frye which would negate the lakers strength. After that cleveland has superior shooting, lebron > kobe, kyrie vs fisher plus the cavs have a bit more depth at the 1-3 (mo williams/jefferson/schumpert/jr/dellavedova were all contributors)

5-6 games tops, lots of blowouts.

Imo the 2008 celtics are a much better matchup, lots of wing firepower/defense, kg to patrol the lane, perkins for dirty work, rondo to put on kyrie. I'd still take the cavs in 6-7.

Lol @ being reduced to hypotheticals about a Kobe vs Lebron finals because of Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkgolo and Courtney Lee.

Shits crazy

Kyrie Ate Kawhi for breakfast a year after he put Lebron in a straight jacket.

No shame in Kyrie dropping 40 on anyone.

shows you that basketball is more about matchups than talent.

Not true all the time. Cavs should've won that series. Lol.

No shame in Kyrie dropping 40 on anyone.Kyrie already had a 41 point finals game in his first full finals series while Kobe was unable to reach that mark in 20 years of basketball:roll:

His teammate, Lebron, also had 2 41 point finals games in 3 days and Kobe never reached that mark once in 20 years:roll:

Suns, Nuggets, Utah Jazz, OKC, Kings, Spurs, Rockets>>>>>Sixers, Nets, Magic.

Translation: He put up numbers against his inner conference competition because he needed to.

He's put up great numbers in the more competitive series of his career. Outside of boston, he didn't need to put up 40 against any of those shit teams.

Kobe putting up 50 on the 2009 Magic would be considered unsportsmanlike.

not gonna lie, Cavs would drip their balls all over my Lakers in a quick 5 per Lebron tradition (16-6)

The question is, who's going to have the homecourt advantage here since they have the same regular season record.
