Is it one of the GOAT conferences during that time frame?

- The dominant Miami teams of 2005-2006

- Bad boy Pistons 2.0 from 2005-2008

- The Big 3 Dynasty Celtics

- The Big 3 Dynasty Heat

-The Dominant Bulls team led by the MVP (2011)

- The Amare plus Melo 1-2 punch Knicks

- The 56 win Pacers led by Paul George (2014)

- The Spurs of the East Hawks (2015-2016)

-The up and coming 55 win Raptors (2016)

Has there ever been a 10 year period with more talent in a conference :confusedshrug:

Lol @ "Spurs of the East" Hawks.

Hawks are just like the Spurs if you disregarded success, completely.

Why stop there?

The Southeast Division is the Pacific Division of the eastern conference.

They've actually been more successful than the Spurs the last 2 seasons :confusedshrug:

Even if we did top 10 of teams in NBA history, none of the teams from the last 15 years would be on it.

At most, we have the 2001 Lakers in the top 20, maybe the 2013 Heat. :confusedshrug:

01 Lakers barely in the top 20? That is harsh. Also 08 Celtics and 14 Spurs don't deserve mentions either? I would only get it if you counted every showtime, celtics, and bulls team instead of just the best version like most lists.

The '01 Lakers are definitely a top 10 GOAT team. The '13 Heat? Probably not because of injuries.

I'd include the 09 Magic

- Bad boy Pistons 2.0 from 2005-2008

05-08? Most of those years came without Larry Brown and Ben Wallace, though

- The Amare plus Melo 1-2 punch Knicks

:facepalm

- The Spurs of the East Hawks (2015-2016)

:facepalm

The up and coming 55 win Raptors (2016)

With those 2 massive playoff choke artists?

Plenty, but this is a troll thread and obvious where it's going so

The only legit teams in the East the last 15 years were

mid 2000's Pistons
Wade/Shaq Heat
Big 3 Celtics
Big 3 Heat
Big 3 Cavs

HM: Healthy Rose Bulls

Overall over the last 10 years the East has had more legit teams than the West.

Celtics, Heat, Cavs, Pistons, Bulls, Pacers etc

Meanwhile the only legit team I can think off in the West over the last decade was the Spurs :oldlol:

Going back to 06? Seeing as you included teams that flamed out in the playoffs, lets see:

Kobe/Gasol Lakers , Nash/D'antoni Suns, Mavericks, Spurs, Thunder, Warriors, Grizzlies, Rockets, Chris Pauls Hornets, Clippers, Sloans Jazz, Melo's Nuggets

The legit contenders?

Lakers, Suns, Mavs, Spurs, Thunder, Warriors. Could also throw the Clippers in there. Grizzlies/Jazz too if you're really gonna sit here and say the Hawks/Raptors are real contenders

So in the time period you specified, the West still had more contenders than the East

You're right, the 2001 Lakers should be borderline top 10. I had forgotten that I have them 8th all-time. Here's my list from 2010:

http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=4796267&postcount=35

What's often missing from the top all-time team list are reasons why team# 10 would beat team# 15 in a neutral setting. One day I may manage to pull that off, perhaps with only the top 10.

Here's my list:

15th. 1983 Philadelphia Sixers
14th. 1995 Houston Rockets (my all time favorite )
13th. 2008 Boston Celtics
12th. 2005 San Antonio Spurs
11th. 1971 Milwaukee Bucks
10th. 1987 Los Angeles Lakers
9th. 1970 New York Knicks
8th. 2001 LA Lakers
7th. 1989 Detroit Pistons
6th. 1984 Boston Celtics
5th. 1965 Boston Celtics
4th. 1992 Chicago Bulls
3rd. 1972 LA Lakers
2nd. 1996 Chicago Bulls
1st. 1967 Philadelphia 76ers

Granted, teams after 2010 aren't on it. :oldlol:

This idiot puts up the Pistons, but doesn't even include their championship season. lol

thread is only about teams from 2006-16.

Pistons chip came in 2004 but they were still a solid team and legit title contenders until the 2007-08 season.

How on earth do you not have the '86 Celtics or '97 Bulls on there? And lmao at the '05 Spurs, that's not even the best team of the Duncan/Pop era

Also, no way are the 01 Lakers ahead of the 1987 Lakers or the 83 Sixers. They don't even belong in the top-20.
