I always assumed they were the same people as the Kobe fans...

The (anti)hero worship, macho "alpha male" rhetoric, praise of selfishness, disregard for statistics, and focus on winning over efficiency ("gaffes" VS "missed shots") are strikingly similar.

The only difference is that Kobe's game is aesthetically pleasing, whereas Trump's style is unapologetically ugly.

(I do like Kobe, and even his fans deserve credit for being entertaining)
