crazy.

All those people are old as f*ck now... Like, really old.
You are only young once.

Generation X'ers are basically in their 40's now.

Baby Boomers:

Born right after WWII and will die right before WWIII. Lucky Bastards.
Got to live their entire lives avoiding the brink of destruction.

As for the WWII vets... guess most of them are gone now, if not, they are on their death beds.

(I'll post some more random $hit later)

damn. time goes by fast. im 27 bout to turn 28 and i remember 22 like it was yesterday. the only way to slow down time is to be involved and experience as much as you can. getting old isnt such a bad thing either. and remember, death is salvation. if humans couldnt die, we would live an eternity of mediocrity and suffering.

^^^ I was in Vegas during that

The entire city is one giant rave during that, it's absolutely nuts. You go into any casino and there are half naked girls on x. Never seen anything like it.

I also went to 2 different Lollapalooza concerts in the early 90s, when Lollapalooza was a big deal. Saw prime chilly peppers, pearl jam, James addiction, young Ice cube, cypress hill, etc etc etc. It was huge back then. Sad thing is that I was so drunk and high during both of them it's a bit of a blur :( but I do remember a decent amount of it and the energy I felt.

I think I fear getting old more than I do of death. (after 50)

Body starts to break down, you start to lose your good looks.

I fully understand why people can have a mid-life crisis.

Your children grow up, you don't have unlimited energy anymore.

Reminds me of that scene from Parenthood...

when she finds out she's gonna be a grandma.

Pics of Woodstock make me feel gross actually. Everyone is unbathed and hairy and on acid, yuck. Hippy's back then were gross people of we are being honest.

I feel like I got enough of that strung out all day on drugs feeling when I was young, don't want to go back to it. You can only do that so many times until your mind and body have had enough.

Yea but that was part of the 'freedom' of it.

I think it would fun as f*ck to go camp out in the woods with 400,000 people for 3-4 days... and nobody had a cell phone, nobody had an internet connection to distract them...

We are living in the future now... hard for society to go back to that now.
Seems like you gotta be connected at all times in today's world.

The Metallica videos from Russia are BAD ASS.

It reminds me of a show they did in the Coliseum parking lot before the Titans-Raiders 2002 AFC Championship game.

Obviously not because of how many people were there, but it was a great crowd.

Some baby boomers were in Nam'.
I was lucky and was not.... never saw a draft card etc...

Actually my generation 45-60 has not needed to go to war.
A friend was in Iraq.... obviously changed his life.
