Durant best player in the league in 2014. Curry since 2015. going to be incredible to watch the two best players in the game on the same team. 75 win season + 2001 Lakers like dominance in the playoffs incoming barring injuries.

If you value playoff performance more which ik you kobe guys do, Westbrook was better than Durant last year.

Lebron cemented himself as the best player in the world with that finals performance till further notice.

Neither of those guys have ever reached the level that LeBron was at in the finals last year

Curry is not as great in the playoffs. He had nothing on LBJ or Kyrie. He wasnt even the best player on GSW in the finals (nutkicker was).
And if you want to bring up the 'injury' consider that last year he was fully healthy and Iggy won the FMVP (and most said LBJ should have won it).

LBJ owns GSW so hard its actually funny watching the GSW/Curry bandwagon fans act like fools.

Yep, the "best player" in the league was the 4th best player in the Finals, and they BOTH lost 3-1 leads :oldlol:

Remember when Curry threw his mouth guard and melted down and got ejected and jumped on his missus twitter account and melted down more....

imma let you finish, but let me set this straight first. "best" means ONLY ONE. and second, how can they be the best when Lebron is still playing?

Remember when Spurs were in the Western Conference finals, oh wait it still hasn't happened for 2 years running. :lol

Dude let it go. Lebron was better in the playoffs last year, he is the best in the world until proven otherwise in the upcoming postseason. I just want the boys fit, and hopefully one of the two outdoes Bron this upcoming season. I have confidence. :pimp:

Gonna be a great season. Can't wait for Kyrie to go head up against Kyrie and
Lebron go head up against Durant. Hopefully it happens. It's a dream scenario.

Curry and Co are tied 1-1 with the Cavs.

Durant is 0-1 very Lebron and Heat.

A lot of people have something to prove.

Russ defnitely had the better overall numbers, he was averaging more offensive rebounds, assists and steals but his low IQ decisions in late game situations also cost OKC their 2nd Finals appearance, KD's shot came back to him in the OKC series but Russ was bricking everything...Game 6 at home and they choke it down the stretch with Russ turning the ball over multiple times to hand GS the game was just terrible to watch, on top of that he shot 39, 37 and 33% from the field in the 3 losses with 5 turnovers per game

you look at his averages and you would think he's Big O but his scoring game is very limited and predictable over the course of a 7-game series against a team like GS that can limit his game. He averaged 25 shots a game in the 3 losses on top of his ~11 assists per game and the 5 turnovers, that shows to me that he hogs the ball too much... Kobe used to get roasted for taking 20-30 shots every game and he's 10 times the scorer that Russ is. Even though KD had 31 shots in Games 5 and 6, he only got 19 shots in a do-or-die Game 7 where he was making shots with ease but Russ ended up with 21 attempts and he missed 67% of his shots and was a -14 to KD's -4, who was keeping the game alive.

Overall I just think the two weren't the ideal fit. Russ wants to score 25 a game and also create shots for everyone on the floor, that means he can't have a co-star like KD who also needs the ball in order to be effective. OKC had the most talented team in the league but their game was flawed. IIRC, they had a top 5 all-time rebounding front court (better than the 09, 10 Lakers) that was on par with the 80s Celtics but they also blew the most 4th quarter leads.
