I liked the first one...it was a pretty good action/thriller that added a much-needed dose of intelligence to the genre. I was looking forward to the sequel, but it appears this one is just a generic action movie. I'm not really surprised by the reviews...just the vibe off the first trailer for this 2nd one didn't feel right to me. It's like they took everything that made the first one good and somewhat unique and got rid of it...kind of like what happened with Mission: Impossible 1 to Mission: Impossible 2. I'll probably check it out later, but I'm certainly not going to pay to see it in the theater.

spot on. I bet it's another generic action movie. put in a big name like Tom Cruise and get an extra 40 million, but it's not worth seeing in the theaters.

this year has been a down year for new movies. :(

I saw it yesterday.

It was ok. Nothing great but not bad. Pretty much a cookie cutter action movie.

It does not do a good job at all of building up the villains. They suck. And honestly that's probably what drags the film down.

They really just don't do a good job of making you really care about any of the characters at all really with the exception of for about 30 seconds at the end.

It's a rental. Don't pay $10+ for a theater showing. If you can go for $4 it's worth it otherwise wait and rent.
