And the only thing people will remember about Steph Curry is this:

So far, he's been the winner on a championship team as the 2nd option against a 73 win team

Curry's best accomplishment is being the 2nd option on a "championship" team against a team missing two all stars

Kyrie will probably get an MVP at some point in his career with LeBron as his mentor.

MVPs only have value when context is applied. Can't diminish players because they have a guy on their team that did just a little bit more. Would Curry have any MVP awards if KD was on his team when he won them? Absolutely not.

To win MVP, you need to lead your team to a top 1-2 seed while posting league leading stats. Kyrie isn't capable of that. He's great to have in high pressure situations when you need buckets, but he's too injury-prone over an 82 game season and just doesn't make anyone else on his team better.

OP is a moron. Curry has two MVP's. Kyrie as your best player doesn't even guarantee you make the playoffs.

Kyrie is not a top-5 player at his position right now.

The only thing Kyrie is better than the average NBA player at is getting you a bucket in 1-on-1 basketball. Every team needs a guy like that, and those guys get a lot of fame and shine....but that doesn't make them the best players. He had a good playoff run last season and posted some good numbers against a hobbled Steph in the Finals.

And this is why players get shit on so hard when they lose. You idiots overrate them like crazy.

This feels like the hype Curry was getting. Dudes on here saying Steph was better than Jordan.

This season, if the Cavs lose, then what? Right back down to earth for Bron/Kyrie and the narrative changes to overrate Durant next?

Without a doubt... Curry is injury prone , and Irving is a better PG as well as player than Curry.

If Kyrie loses than it's becaues he was up against a fully healthy stacked team. Kyrie losing his year doesn't mean that he won't have a better career than Curry for the long haul. He's 24 years old. When's the last time a 24 year old or younger player dropped 40+ points in a finals game as the 2nd option, while the first option had 40+ points himself?!? Is kryie just that efficent of a player that he can take less shots and peform just as well in a finals game as the first option? Interesting.......

If you want to use the GSW was only at 45% of their ability hence the reason for Kyrie's excellent performance, then you must also admit that the Cavs finals series win over a depleated GSW team isn't all that impressive regardless if they won 73 reg season game or were down 3-1.

If you don't use the GSW was only at 45% of their ability, and remove all context and say how badass the Cavs and Lebron were for beating a 73 win team, then you must give Kyrie the necessary credit he deserves which is what I listed in my first paragraph.

Pick your story.

I've got the lebron stans twisted because they can't have it both ways, and it's messing up their agenda. It's amazing how the full story unfolds when context is applied.

He's been a massive disappointment since Cleveland. Always injured, bad locker room presence, and his team legitimately sees no impact in their success without him playing

You are shockingly dumb. Curry still has a chance to finish in the top 10 all time. Will Kyrie even be considered top 100?
any real baller knows that kyrie destroys curry

and that's exactly what happened in the Finals - outplayed him severely 2 years in a row - clearly looked like the better player

but don't let facts get in the way of a feel-good story about a paperboy that can barely dunk winning league MVP by turning the 3-point line into a gimmick.. he turned the game into a drill (aka who can drive-and-kick for the most 3-pointers, aka not basketball)

Nah that's bullshit.

Currys style of 3 shooting wasn't drive and kick. He led an off ball revolution combined with pull up game.

All time great teamwork generated.
