i'm rolling with lebron. if him playing at a high level when his team faces elimination sounds familiar, there's a reason for that feeling: he does it ALL the time.
33/11/7 47%fg and his teams are 9-8.
a better team record than magic, larry, and wilt IIRC. i know that jordan, with inferior production (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/ClIEo5fWYAAm2KQ.jpg), and the teams he played for were 6-7 in elimination games.
fwiw, along with lebron, dirk seems to have a good track record in do-or-die elimination games, or at least he does in an individual sense.

Well, Lebron has played 2 Game 7's in the finals and averaged 32 ppg and won both of them, so gimme Bron

that's the thing with lebron.
most of these elimination games don't come in the first or second round, but during conference & nba finals. high stakes. grandest stage.
taking lebron is like having your ace in the hole - would be interesting to see larry & magic's raw numbers in such games, though.

LeBron. He allows his team to get pushed to the brink of elimination most frequently.

I'm aware that LeBron has the best track record in elimination games, but the answer is Jordan.

I'm taking Bill Russell, he never lost a game 7, won 11 rings in 13 years and won two NCAA championships. The guy had win etched into his dna.

MJ then Kobe
 Kobe actually did have some good performances in elimination games during the 3peat, but after that, Kobe was a legitimately terrible elimination game performer
2003 vs. Spurs: 20/2/6 on 9/19 with 7 TO's in a 28 point loss
2004 vs. Pistons: 23/2/4 on 7/21 in a 13 point loss
2006 vs. Suns: 24/4/1 on 8/16 wit 4 TO's in a 31 point loss
2007 vs. Suns: 34/4/1 on 13/33 with 6 TO's in a 9 point loss
2008 vs. Celtics: 22/3/1 on 7/22 with 4 TO's in a 39 point loss
2009 vs. Rockets: 14/7/5 on 4/12
2010 vs. Celtics: 23/15/2 on 6/24 with 4 TO's
2011 vs. Mavs: 17/3/1 on 7/18 with 5 TO's in a 36 point loss
He finally did play well in 2012, dropping 42 on the Thunder albeit in another blowout loss
