I think he's too big time for LA. But honestly why was he even brought on? He doesn't seem to be interested in the NBA, he hasn't been in the league for years, and the Lakers didn't really need him either. What was the point of all this?

Low risk move that didnt pan out. He is still shit. Lakers didnt need him as there are better players, he didnt need this because big fish in small pond for asian star is much better than riding the bench as 15th man.

his guaranteed money was basically non existent unless he played so many games this season. and after a preseason of getting to know the bench on a very personal level, he knew that money would never reach his bank account.

eh. if they didnt pick up luke and his offense, the big chinaman would have never been on their radar. his "supposed" game fits that offense. big man that can spread the floor. his games vs USA bball helped sell him to the lakers too.
