Holy shit! How long has it been since we've had a 5/5/5/5/5 game?

Well, we have our first 50 point game of the season and I'm happy it's a big who got it.

Buddy is at worst 2nd best INDIVIDUAL player in the league. He's KG with handle, and a more aggressive offensive game. Absolute beast mode.

Last year people were saying either they would take Towns hands down over Davis or that Towns was already better. KAT looked lost at times tonight. They'll both be amazing but the stuff Davis is capable of and has actually done is frightening if he can stay healthy and get a half decent squad around him.

GTFO

He actually even has a less talented roster than 2009/2010 Wade, 2006/2007 Kobe and 2003 McGrady. Which is unimaginable.

Don't play yourself.

Earlier you said he was the best player in the league. If he is better than a top 3 player in the league, and the only unanimous MVP then he should be getting about 50 wins.

Lebron stuck shit teams to the Finals. You think people thought Boobie Gibson and Sasha Pavolic were good players. Lebron made them look competent. So if you are gonna pretend that he is playing on Shaq/MJ/Lebron dominant level then he should be doing that kind of stuff.

Holy shit; that's the Anthony Davis that I touted as the imminent BITW around this juncture last year. :applause:

Many--myself included at times--have fallen asleep on him because Alvis Gentry didn't engineer a big-man-friendly system for him (which Davis acquiesced to), which he had trouble acclimating to, and because his team decentered itself from the limelight even more, but this may serve as an early wake-up call to remind of his potential. Let's see if he can have a bounce-back year this year--and it says a lot that it is a bounce-back year when coming off the heels of what was still a very respectable season last year.

Definitely a future all-time great.

Lebron stuck shit teams to the Finals.
In the worst version of the eastern conference ever.

Big deal.

I didn't say he's unanimous MVP. He got them 45 wins when healthy and even had them competing with the Warriors, two seasons ago.

I'm also not saying AD > Kobe, Wade, and LeBron. I said he has a worst supporting cast then they did at their worst.

So don't put words in my mouth. Individually he's better than everyone not named LeBron.

"And people claimed he wasn't a top 3 player ...

48 points and 15 reb on opening night hah. Dude has absolutely no help. Garbage franchise.

1) AD
2) LeBron
3) Leonard

These three actually play both sides of the ball. Unlike virtually everyone else."

this is what you said. you said he is better than Step, the reigning unanimous MVP and Lebron, the top GOAT.

SamuraiSWISH

Wait so you believe that Steph is truly the best MVP ever because he was unanimous? Heading forward, LeBron aside, AD is the best player in the league and should be any GMs corner stone. He provides more with a team of nobodies than Curry. Steph plays on the most absurdly stacked team of all time.

So much for people writing him off. Didn't watch the game, but 50/15 is remarkable either way. ISH likes to downplay big performances though.

each day AD wastes away in that shit hole franchise is a day the basketball gods are denying us of something truly great.

it's obvious Gentry can't coach a big.
NOP FO is shit.

and AD needs to get out of there before his prime is wasted.

let's start a petition to FREE AD!

Oh yes, because the east 10 years ago was equal to the West back then, or the west today. Gotta love those apples to carrots comparisons.

This beast is probably about to drop 40 on the Warriors tomorrow while his team loses by 40. :lol It's tragic that this man isn't playing anywhere else, I think 2020 is when his contract is done right? He shouldn't have signed an extension and gotten out of there.

Great insight. I'm curious what your other predictions are. Kawhi is a good defender, Steph knows how to shoot, that Lebron is a good player?

Also yall serious about someone thinking KAT > AD? That has to be a joke. :D

Except the '60's were an absolute shit hole and Chokerlain's stats from '62 would translate to something like 17/8 on 40% today.

Now **** off and create another thread for that loser, if you want to discuss him.

Holy shit. AD is tearing it up. 47.5 PPG 16.5 RPG 4.0 APG 4.5 SPG 3.0 BPG. When was the last time a big averaged similar numbers in two consecutive games? Shaq against the Pacers in the '00 Finals comes to mind.

This.

Hell, Chamberlain averaged 52.7 ppg against 6-11 HOFer Walt Bellamy (BTW, he was actuallly 7-0) in their 10 H2H's that season, which included games of 61 and even 73. Chamberlain even averaged 40 ppg against Russell, with a high of 62 and his swarming teammates in their 10 H2H's. BTW, that 73 point game, against Bellamy, and that 62 point game, against Russell, came on back-to-back nights. On a combined .638 TS%!

Put Wilt in THIS center-less era, and with the spacing that he would have...and an easy 35 ppg, and likely 40 ppg. Hell, and old POS Shaq, in 2009, hung a 45 point game. A PRIME Chamberlain would just CARPET-BOMB the current NBA.

Played in a garbage ass era, with stick figure played. Wouldn't average over 15 PPG on 40% today.
