Nice additions. Also Nurkic, who had a big game statistically yesterday! And Brook Lopez.

Let's not forget Okafor and Noel have potential if they move to better situations. Then there's Gobert and Favors too a good duo in Utah.

not to mention the undersized big men like Draymond and Millsap who are excellent players.

Was about to add Nurk and DMo, but they were hindered by their injuries. Hope they can stay healthy.

Big men. True Big Men died with Shaq in 2004.

Embiid shows incredible promise though

All those guys are big men.

Those are some decent big men, on like a Rik Smits level, but unless there's a few true Olajuwon's and Shaq's, it won't matter.

Thus, everything depends on KAT and Embiid.

Yeah, there are levels to greatness. Embiid and KAT have the potential to be transcendent talents. Many of today's bigs aren't on that level.

AD too. Also the 90s had malone,Barkley, David Robinson, Ewing putting up absurd numbers too. Two players don't make it a big men era. It was the amount that does. They have great up and coming bigs. The last few years deandre was being sold has the best Center. Lmaooo Most big men in the 90s spent 2 to 3 years in College. These guys are coming out younger amd more raw, but the potential is there.

We have AD,Myles,Kat,Embiid and most of these guys are young.

Shaq had the luxury of dominating weak big men. Doubt he puts up the same numbers in this era

You didn't need great big men or defenders to slow down shaq. You just needed size. He was just too big and strong to be stopped from getting into low post position. The rest of his game played out at average or below average levels.

Shaq was 2nd in MVP voting in '05. Still better than anything the shitty '60's could produce though.

I've only watched most of Celtics / Bulls & bits & pieces of other games so I haven't seen enough to really make judgement. When I think of big men, I envision guys posting up. I didn't see any much of that style of play. I hardly saw anyone posting up. They scored in different ways though.

You mean if he would've played against guys like Olajuwon, Robinson, Mutombo, Mourning, Ewing, etc his stats would've dropped off?

Shaq is bigger than Drummond, Dwight, Embiid, and stronger than all of those guys at the same age.

He also was as fast as Howard end to end while carrying 40 more pounds.

Shaq dominates any era. He was averaging 18 and 10 back in 2006 being half of what he was.
