Meanwhile, Wade was the best player in the entire series. Clearly better than LeBron, Dirk and Bosh. Another ring and Finals MVP sabotaged.

If he was that good he would've won the series.

Not when your second best player is purposely pouting and no showing.

If it wasn't for a hip flexor late in the series ... Wade might have. He had done it to Dallas by himself before and was doing it again.

LeBron was in Where's Waldo mode. Especially late in games. No impact on the series. Hollow and meaningless stat stuffer. If he just plays even close to his averages offensively Miami wins.

Even with his startling PPG drop off & no shows in the 4th quarter, if he just manages to score more than 8 points in Game 4 the Heat go up 3-1, and this years Finals aside, all but lock up the series. Dude scores 12-15 measly points that game and the Heat win the championship

Do you think peak Shaq, MJ, Lebron (don't know how that would work) replacing Wade, would lose in 2011?

Yeah, winning as the consensus favorite without Kyrie/Love playing nearly the entire series. Cavs after Game 7 in Oakland 2016

Wade was without a doubt the best player in the series.

He also didn't close very well.

But part of that could definitely be attributed to his expectations from Lebron to do something. If it was a given that Lebron would just be a 17 PPG role player who didn't do much in the 4th I think the Heat would have won with Wade carrying them.

As it is though, this blip in Lebrons career has/is well-noted and been discussed. There's no new info. He came back the next year and showed that he truly was an ATG :confusedshrug:

Wade was the best player in the series, but Dirk clearly outclassed him in the 4th quarter/crunch time

OP getting bullied again. A shame he has to seek out negative attention because his parents didn't love him. Poor guy doesn't know what it's like to be accepted. :(

True. I remember for that whole run I would tune into Mavs games in the last couple minutes purely to see what Dirk did. It was masterful basketball down the stretch.

Still can't believe LeBron's game 4. I promise you that was point shaving if I ever saw it.

8 points. Fully healthy. I can't comprehend it.

And even of that pathetic 8 point total, 2 came off a shameless flop, 2 off a borderline goaltend, and 2 off a fastbreak set up almost entirely by Wade
