I'm actually looking forward to seeing Devin Booker play. I've heard a lot of good things about him.

I wonder if Eric Bledsoe will finally manage to stay healthy...probably not. It's too bad because I've always liked "mini lebrons" game.

Was hoping Adams would turn into a somewhat go to player in the post this year, but he didn't do shit all summer it seems.

3 Wild chucks from distance isn't closing out the half "good" but the Suns did run out of steam.

OKC should win this game but Warren is killing them inside.

Suns need less Dudley and more Chriss

Marquese Chriss is going to be a bad, bad man in this league. He's got that Kurt Thomas glare and demeanor.

Westbrook might win MVP even with a lower seed/record if he can have a GOAT tier season like Jordan, Kareem, etc.

This game really boring. Westbrook just playing 1 on 5.

Gonna have some chemistry issues on this team because the rest of the team is gonna get the shits not touching the ball...

They should. They're shooting a higher percentage of shots, and get better looks due to the ball actually moving.

never said Westbrook shouldn't be taking all those shots. Still just pointing out 36(now 38) is an insane amount for anyone. Even looking at Westbrook's career, he only has 3 games total where he took 36 or more shots.

I swear I've been thinking about that game right now too, watching Westbrook.
Suddenly I'm like 'Huh, 60 points on 50 shots don't look so bad anymore'

43 and counting. Plus, he has 10 assists and 5 turnovers. The kind of usage that it takes to get those kind of numbers has to be just mind-boggling. Curious to see the advanced numbers.

I'm sorry, but there is no way this could be good for any team.

It isn't.

If he played more efficiently, the game probably wouldn't have been close.

Some people on here will look at it and be wowed by the numbers but it isn't a good way to play. This coming from a Westbrook fan.

I love westbrook man but Russ just needs to control that chucking mentality in the closing minute. Russ helped them win but also helped the Suns in the chance to win the game due to unnecesarry 3 pointer and of Russ..

He should just drive and take contact or drive and dish to the open man.

But awesome triple double

Honestly the Thunder are so heavily dependent on him he just might. Even if his shooting slumps off he could still average a triple double with his usage on shitty percentages lol

There aren't a ton of players in the league capable of putting up 51-13-10 no matter how many shots they take or possessions the hijack. But, we should hold the best players in the league to a higher standard than third and fourth tier guys. Putting up 44 shots despite your shot not falling is just not smart basketball. I mean, he took 10 threes. He was 2-for-10.

Nice stat line and all, but that was not a particularly good performance all told.

They have other players in OKC. He isn't by himself. While he doesn't have a Kevin Durant anymore, guys like Adams, Kanter and even Oladipo/Singler/Sabonis ... these are still guys who can help relieve some of that offensive load.

He's on a road to hurting himself again if he tries to maintain this workload.

I don't hate Westbrook. At all. I actually think he's pretty awesome, especially in light of all the Durant stuff that has happened.

But, you can't not talk about the 44 shots.

This sounds like one of those stat lines in terms of shot attempts that really needs an eye test.

I didn't watch the game so I'd be curious to hear from someone that did but my guess is that even if he "played smart" it's probably likely that they lose instead of eeking out a W.

You can't judge a game simply on a box score.

Any time he didn't have the ball to create a play, the offense went to shit. OKC outside of Westbrook is HORRENDOUS. No play-making, no shot-creating, no 3pt shooting, and they're ASS at finishing around the rim. THEY ****ING SUCK,

They absolutely NEED Westbrook to create EVERY SINGLE PLAY. The more he shoots the better. The guys saying anything different have no idea.

CuterThanRubio
10-28-2016, 11:33 PM
It's hard to properly judge his performance, he took a gang of wild contested threes that had no chance of falling, but it may have opened up his driving lanes, and his reckless rushes to the paint presented a multitude of FT attempts, but I would have to say that his shot selection was mostly terrible aside from the layups.

I agree with Simon that they have no better option than to allow him total control of the offense but he could be much smarter with his outside shots.

+The Suns are garbage and Boogie dropped 37 on them already, 51 is impressive but lets not go overboard, OKC lucked out in many instances that could have cost them the game, we have yet to see how their strategy works against a good team.
