Not all around, but he has the potential to be both the best defender AND scorer. Lebron has done it for a season or two, but I think Kawhi will do it for an extended period of time.

How about we wait until guy averages 25 PPG at least once before we say he'll be the best scorer in the game.
Lebron averaged the dude's career high for an entire Finals ffs.

lol...Kawhi will never be the best scorer in the league. Jordan was also never the best defender in the league or the best two-way player in the 90s...Hakeem was a better two-way player than he was as he was much, much more dominate defensively.

Which is why I said will, and not "is". I am speculating because of the improvement we've seen for over a year now on the offensive end. Even last year when he didn't average as many points, he started showcasing his offensive versatility.

Wade was a better 2 way perimeter player than Kawhi and easily tier above him.

What I'm saying is he'll never be a better scorer than KD/Curry, and probably even Kyrie, Paul George, etc.

Lebron's 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2013, and 2016 seasons are all easily better two-way seasons thank Kawhi's best. I guess you can make an argument for Kawhi being the 2nd best two-way player since MJ, but I'd still say Kobe, Duncan, KG, and a coupe others have stronger arguments.

People acting like Kawhi needs to have peak Durant's scoring ability. :lol If he isn't an elite offensive player yet, he's on the brink. He gets markedly better EVERY year without fail and he's in a class of his own defensively. The only one who has a CLEAR better impact than him on the floor is Lebron.

Not my fault you are too stupid to understand the difference between "all around" and "Two-way"

Lebron is "all around"
Kawhi is "two-way"

There's 3 players that have clearly better impact. It wasn't that long ago in the playoffs that Durant bodied him and the Spurs while Kawhi didn't do jack sht all series.

Saying that, if he keeps his scoring prowess from the first two games, that's another story.

OP knows his basketball.

:applause:

Kawhi Leonard LAST SEASON was as good or better than PEAK Bird impact wise and efficiency wise. Only thing he lacked was volume, but that was due to the coaching philosophy and team ball direction. Now with GOAT retired and Leonard given free reign with a green light, he's going to become a 30+ PPG scorer with GOAT tier DPOY level perimeter defense. Basically, Jordan-esque. 3ball is already preparing pages of essays in advance for this well-known FACT.
