I see why Russ got a 50 triple double tonight.
This doesn't even make since, Kobe was far from a trip dub machine.
If anything he taught him how to chuck even harder.

Kobe in a PG role would average very close to a trip dub for the season

Crap like this is why everyone mocks Kobetards.
Let's just say Kobe is a PG and unrealistically averages a high amount of assists, how the hell does that effect him averaging more than his usual 5-6 rebounds?

first it was hakeem who passed the torch to young players wishing to develop their offensive skill, now it is K0be as the sensei. :pimp:

I guess what he's saying is Kobe could have put up more assists and rebounds and I agree. He averaged 7 rebounds a game playing next to Shaq in 02-03, he was averaging above 9 rebounds a game early in the 02-03 season when Shaq was injured and had 2 triple doubles in the first 3 games (almost 3 in 4, 1 assist away) of the season along with a string of 5 games with 10+ rebounds to open up the season

I think prime Kobe was definitely capable of putting up stat lines similar to Russ, but he played in the triangle and was never the type of player to go for triple doubles. MJ had a 32/8/8 year when he essentially had no team around him and was put at PG for a big chunk of the year, never averaged 7+ rebounds or over 6 assists with Phil

Kobe averaged 25/6/8 after he took over PG duties under Antoni when Nash went down, and this was a 34 year old Kobe playing the PG role, carrying an injured roster to a top 3 record in the league post-ASB to take them to the POs (no bench, no Nash, Pau and Howard injured). Put 2003 Kobe in a system like that? I would dare say he could have put up a decent amount of triple doubles. Russ can do it at 6'3, and he doesn't have a higher vertical than Kobe did, and prime KB was a beast athletically as well.
