View Full Version : Is Davis better than Curry, Durant, Westbrook?

I was thinking about whom I'd consider the best player in the nba. Assuming it's lebron by consensus, most would have had Curry at 2 and probably Durant at 3 with Westbrook and possibly Leonard rounding up the top 5.

How good is Anthony Davis? He seems to have been slept on because of his injury troubles but a healthy Davis is scary good. His numbers are mind-boggling good. A level of dominance we haven't seen in a while. And he's only a kid.

Where do you guys rank him? Is it outrageous to rank him ahead of Leonard and Durant already?

Probably. He's 5x the defender of any of them, that alone is enough of an argument to put him over them. I'm not willing to actually make that statement though until he shows what he can do in the playoffs, shame how awful his team is. Injuries are also a concern

It's been two games lol you guys need to relax with this AD shit.

Everyone thought he was going to be an MVP candidate last year after his 2014-2015 season, then he barely made the All-Star game.

I think he'll be better than Curry and Kd this season, but not Westbrook.

No, he's not better than any of them and as a matter of fact he's not even remotely close as of yet. He hasn't proven anything but the fact that he's tall, skilled and on a team of scrubs.

Curry

Durant

Davis
Westbrook

That's probably my order in terms of individual positive impact on a squad.

lmao you think that Curry is not only better than Durant, but there's also a gap between them?

Crazy shit, bro.

Definitely. Give Davis a Stephen Curry or Russell Westbrook as a teammate and find out what happens. Let a lone a Klay Thompson and Drapemomd Green as well.

Davis needs to play like 15 games to see where he "officially stands", but so far he seems better than all those players OP mentioned, dude carried a junky team to playoffs in his rookie seasons.

Seriously if he can join Boston and be healthy the Boston will be top contender once again.

Definitely, especially since he's a big

I don't really think so ... at least not KD. I think being as good as Davis is as a big might be less impactful than being as good as KD, Westbrook and Curry are as dynamic perimeter players. They can run offense and get those hard buckets at the end of games, and Westbrook can pass and create offense. I'd for sure rather have KD than Anthony Davis.

Curry is a pg who posts PER numbers on an MJ/Wilt level.

Best offensive player in 15 years.

Curry is by far the most valuable offensive player today just due to the amount of attention he gathers defensively.
It is easy to play with Curry even when he's not directly involved.

I could see a healthy Davis being right up there with all of those guys. There really aren't any holes in his game, he just can't stay on the court.
