I'm sure him being buddy buddy with WB helped things along on that contract.

Salaries are crazy right now, 25 mill a year for Adams. Ya, he's a nice young big man but isn't that like franchise player money for a 4th year guy?

It's going to take a few years to everything to settle and our perceptions to re-align with the new cap number. This one's in the grey zone for me, I wouldn't call it bad, but it will be a couple years before we know if we can call it a good contract.

From the same team that traded Harden over a few million, and broke up a potential dynasty :facepalm

3 ball hogs on team would never work, OKC barely functioned last year with two ball hogs.

Oladipo getting $16M less than Adams was surprising in some ways to me, but I get it. Rudy and Steven Adams getting the same money is criminal though, Gobert is a good amount more impactful.

Why compare to Curry? He signed his contract years ago.

:sleeping

This is ridiculous though, Adams is not worth $25 million a year.

I agree with this. Harden KD and WB all made each other worse.

KD is now making Curry worse. KD is a guard killer

That's why they made the Finals with all 3, and never got back since, amirite? But yea, having stacked teams never works.

Steven Adams is not even close to as good as Rudy Gobert...you guys are nuts. Gobert's impact on the defensive end is much, much bigger.

i'll admit i havent watched quite as much Gobert as i've watched Steven Adams.. but ive seen a handful of games and looked at their shot charts / numbers...

Both hover right around 10/10 double double threats.
Gobert is lanky, better at shotblocking and covering ground.
Adams is stronger better at moving bodies and creating space (picks/boxout).
Gobert can only finish at the rim on offense.
Adams finishes same % at the rim, but also has a much better in between game in the 2-9 foot paint region with his little flips and floaters.

Add on top of that, Steven Adams is a freak physical strength guy, iron man type (go look up what his sister looks like lol).. so i trust his durability more.

overall, im not going to act like there's some big difference between these guys.

I know he's a very good center but it made the Mozgov signing less crazy. :D

I agree, Gobert is a better defensive anchor but he is limited on offense.

The thing about Steven Adams is that he has a lot of intangibles that come with his game. He's incredibly good at discreetly getting in the opposing players' heads. He seems like he worked on his free throws as well this summer.

eh what a steal actually better then Mozgov, actually thats what I got pissed of with the KD signing they lost all there defense and bench, the Dubs were already fine, they just needed to shore up the rebounding and bench some more, instead they lose Barnes, Bogut, Ezili , Barbosa. With Bogut and Barbosa being the biggest losses. All to get more offense.
