8/10. I enjoy being here everyday and I'm always learning new things, but I'm underpaid being in a small town. I'll move to the city in a year or so and make 20-30% more. Cost of living in small towns is a lot less though.

you may still be getting underpaid once you move to the city just because of living expenses.

Yeah. The only cheaper things are the homes really. Otherwise everything else is identical. Although small towns like the one I'm in have so little to do, that I spend no money on going out places.
Plenty of my friends live in downtown Toronto and pay 1600/month in rent while making barely more than I do. I pay a $800/month mortgage which is very nice.

I've worked since I was 12 years old.
18 bought my first house.
21 started work in Network tech. for a Ins. co I hoped to retire from.
(It was a career job I loved for 16 years)
Moved on to another Ins. Co. for 20 years= just a job.
Retired last year at 57....
Never looked back
I've always said , Being in love once in life is so important.
But what is also very important is to enjoy the job you have.

Cities are usually more expensive all around. Food, groceries, gas.. For example here in SF there is a 4% "wellness" tax whenever you go out to eat.

I've always said if you can make a living doing your passion; your love, you conquered life.
I did for 10+ years before I had kids.
Then my "job" was a 50 on a scale of 1-10.

Recently hired consultant for a big accounting firm here in Tampa. Job requires me to travel 80% of the time which is good and bad, but the pay makes up for it. 140k base, 35k signing bonus, up to 35% performance bonus.

Nah. Not at all cuz.
I was a professional musician before my son was born. Didn't make ballin money but enough to support myself And not have to have a 9-5.
I conquered life. 50 out of 10.
Now I am in the 502 industry in Washington state.

7.5/10. High-paying, fast paced, rather interesting. On the flipside, I am currently on a 4 or 5 weeks in Southeast Asia and 2 weeks home schedule. It is rather tough, especially if you are married of have a serious relationship (like me), and the loooong flights to (and within) Asia are a pain in the ass.

All things considered (ie money:lol ), 9/10.
Interesting so many people on here seem to like their job. Polls out there say about 70-80% of people don't like their job or hate their job

I work as a business consultant for small businesses helping them grow.
Speaking of which, OP, what type of business do you run that allows you to spell it "biness"?
I don't see any legitimate business that would find that acceptable for a business owner
