I think the REAL MVP Kawhi Leonard would have something to say about that.

Kawhi Leonard has the best midrange game in the NBA.

They're both really good but the way Derozan is playing this year (so far) he looks like he hands down has the best mid-range in the game.

Chris Paul career % from 10-15 feet: .473% (has shot 50% or higher 3 out of the last 4 seasons) He's clearly the best midrange shooter in the league and has been for years now.

He doesn't shoot anywhere near as high of a volume as Demar.

its steph curry, there is no way it cannot be, he just doesn't need to utilize that archaic form of playing with his ball handling and shooting ability. Truly a new breed.

So how long are we gonna ignore what DeMar is doing?

Why isn't he getting the same overreactions the other players are getting?

Chris Paul career % of shots from 10-15 feet: .172%

Demar Derozan career % of shots from 10-15 feet: .187%

So much for that.

the HGH will wear off given they can't dose it during the regular season.

Using career comparisons... nice one dumb ass. Derozan only just recently took on this much responsibility offensively.

Did Kevin Durant die?.... Derozan is making those tough contested fall aways that he'd normally shoot to the tune of 42% on the year. He still needs to find way to get better spacing on his shot attempts. He can't keep shooting the way he is up. He will come back down to earth.

Using career comparisons... nice one dumb ass. Derozan only just recently took on this much responsibility offensively.

The last 3 seasons he basically had identical usage ratings. This 4 game stretch is an anomaly.

You are wrong. Here is Demars usg% for the last 5 seasons:

25%
24%
28%
28.4%
29.8%

CP3 has a better midrange game. So does Durant.

derozans lathering himself into his sweet spots and making them like free throws, rarely fading, just rising up.. and if they press too much hes blowing by and tear dropping / drawing fouls. Spacing's been on point. Wont keep up 60% midrange shooting obviously but his game looks much more composed and in control right now.

Derozan took bad shot after bad shot last year, especially in the post season. This year he is being very smart with his shot selection (and making most of the bad shots he takes anyway).

He is a legit superstar player though, he is making that clear. That #46 ranking really pissed him off.

He's by no means a superstar. Four games in Oct/Nov doesn't change that. He's never even made an all-NBA team, not to mention being a sub-par playoff performer. I agree though that his preseason ranking was too low. If he continues playing at an elite level, makes an all-NBA team, and has a great playoff run, then he'll be in the superstar discussion.

He needs to change his name to Demar Dejordan.
