He didn't because on the thunder he actually had to lead and go against a great team. In silver state, he can ride the coattails of a 73 win team that pushed his backside in. KD is not a man.

because Durant decided that when the opposing team implements a different defensive strategy, he ought to adjust to it
sounds like Kanter is upset that just being able to rebound isn't enough to help a team propel past to the next round

Russell wouldn't allow him to. A great player, but once things started to get tight he got tunnel vision. Up 13, no problems, good ball movement and all, but when the Warriors closed in he started chucking away early in the shotclock. How are you supposed to do anything against that? I mean KD could've taken a TO and shouted at him, but then he'd be called an aggressive salty ass or whatever.
I think they simply aren't made to win together. Russell needs a big that can live off of his style not a midrange-3pt shooter like KD.

I was trying to figure out what Kanter was saying.
Btw, why did Kanter only play 3 minutes?

Because he doesn't play any defense.

KD was turning the ball over and bricking non stop as well.. so there's plenty he could've done. The margin was so slim for golden state, he only needed to be like 10% better than he played.. but ultimately couldnt get it done. Kanter is right.. Durant needs to do it in the playoffs or none of this matters so he shouldnt be showboatin as hard as he is.

Btw, why did Kanter only play 3 minutes?
Because KD scored 9 points directly in his face during that period.

KD hits a couple more shots against GSW in game 6, and this isnt even a discussion. What WB did/did not do has nothing on KD's effectiveness; he got locked down by Iggy, plain and simplt

Ah Kanter, you should have just snapped that little twig when you had the chance instead of going back and forth on this.

Scrubs shouldn't talk to superstars. If he isn't careful Kerr will rest Steph, Klay and Dray for the next OKC game and let KD and Zaza humiliate them alone.

I thought somebody was going to commit a flagrant 3 on Durant?:confusedshrug:

Kanter is correct.
Of course, Kanter is a scrub player though, so any Durant stan (is that even such a thing?) can easily say Durant is ten times the player Kanter is.
But, if you gave Kanter Durant's talent, would he join the team that knocked him out of the playoffs? And then dance around when he scores 10 straight points against his old team in a regular season game in November? Doubt it.

Maybe you should read up on Kanter and how his former teammates in Utah think of him.

Do I really? Dude split up in a bitter way and had his teammates calling him out, IIRC had an awkward return to Utah with OKC as well.
