The guy in your avatar got humiliated last night, at least give it a few days before talking smack breh.
Durant is my first choice, Curry my second, Leonard 3rd. :pimp: It took only one game for the Warriors to wipe Westbrook out of the MVP race and remind everyone of their chances.

No way they vote for him, even if he deserves it. Not this season at least. The villain narrative will be too much for him to overcome. The same thing that happened with Rose being voted MVP over Lebron the year he came to the Heat. I think he'll have the best season of any player in a top 4 seed team but imo the trophy will go to Kawhi. Harden, Russell, AD, Lillard will have huge numbers but not enough winnng. i can't see anyone from the East having a chance other than Lebron. PG & Indiana bound for a disappointing season and Derozan will fall off.

Lol at Curry. Dude's an afterthought now.

Averaging 29 PPG thus far this season, the MVP is Leonard's to lose.

He'd have to be the first MVP in the history of any sport to join a team, have them win less games than the year before (which will most likely happen) and still win the award

Reverse your order and that's who I have

And maybe a 50/40/90 season as well? He was only a few % off the free throws last year and looking on target this year (early days I know).

People who think Westbrook has a chance in hell of getting it are delusional. OKC isn't finishing top 5 in the west and they're not giving it to a guy with the team that far low. Even if he averages a triple doubles.
Kawhi Not?

2. James Harden

It's impossible for him to deserve it on this team.

Harden won't have the team success and Durant will have more wins AND better numbers than Kawhi.
It's Durant's award to lose.

So when they win 6 games less than they did the season before, you give the MVP to the guy who wasn't on the team?

Yes. What does last season have to do with anything?
Durant will be on the #1 overall seeded team averaging ~30 points/9 boards/3-4 assists.
How do you not give that guy the award? Last season is irrelevant.

He's shooting like 97% from FT land so far and over 40% from 3. If he averages like 28-30 PPG while playing DPOY level defense (most likely will 3peat that right now) as well as putting up 50/40/90 and the Spurs winning 60+? I don't see how he doesn't win it.

How? Because he's not the "most valuable" player on the team. If Westbrook wins close to 50 games with his current team and doesn't win the award, It'll prove that the award is a huge choke, like it has always been. Without him Thunder won't win 15 games

I don't think so. Wins and numbers are very comparable at the moment and I expect them to remain that way all season. Add to that Leonard being much more valuable to his team with no other superstar talent surrounding him while taking over in the clutch on both ends every game and he's a shoe in for the MVP this year.

Leonard just put up 29/11/4/1/1 with 1 TO to avenge his team's only loss this season.
Meanwhile, Durant's 73 win team is getting blown out by the Lakers while he puts up 3 points on 1-5 FG and -13 so far for the game.
