If Magic didn't get HIV. The Lakers would still have been a championship contender in the early 1990's.

Divac was developing into a solid player. And I am sure the Lakers are going to surround him with a younger wingmen. (Cedric Ceballos).

They could have been in the 92 Finals . But would lost again , against the Bulls . And then Rox,Suns and Sonics arrived , West became a much better conference than when Magic was in . No chance for finals after 92 , imo .

Suns? The same Suns that almost lost to the Magic-less Lakers in '93? They showed they are nothing but an impressive regular season team. They never established any kind of playoff dominance over clearly inferior teams to suggest that Magic's '93 Lakers would have no chance against them. No wonder the experienced Bulls beat them without hca.

In the last three games , Suns had win all 3 games by over 9 margin a game . They didn't start the playoffs well , that doesn't mean LA were close to Suns .

Also , don't forget .. Without Paxson's shot Suns would've been 93 champions now . Just watch those game 5 and game 6 .

Not really. The Suns only won by 5 in Game 3 and Game 5 went to OT, so it was way closer than you remember. Add Magic and the Lakers could very well win at least Game 5.
