no offense...but he should be better than both of them...7 feet with guard like skills......age doesn't make you better than someone.

Rose so far has been their best player. Followed by Melo. But Melo's playstyle gets in the way of everyone else on the team. Atleast Rose can drive and kick and put pressure on the defense and create gaps. Porzingis can't create plays (aside from taking an open 3). He needs to be put in positions to succeed. And so far the Knicks haven't been able to. They instead toss it to him to go iso or Porzingis tries to do too much and put up some off balance garbage that isn't his forte.

I hate this trend of 'big men with guard skills' who just basically play on the perimeter and shoot 3s on offense. Thats a good way to take away your natural advantage in height (offensive rebounding, good close range looks). The focus should be to attack the basket.
I'll admit I havent watched much of him though (maybe 5 games last year). He looks good on defense. Just needs to bulk up a lot more.

He's the best player for the Knicks, yes. But not yet best player ON the Knicks.

Hornacek showing signs of life. Best to keep KP and Melo playing apart. Again, I'd prefer to see Melo off the bench with Jennings. Lee is winning me over slowly.

No he's not, in a couple years maybe. But he's not a number 1 type guy. He's not really a creator he needs people to create for him. And on d if he's not protecting the rim he gets burned all the time.
