now that kobe's gone the lakers are playing like a team and having fun not worried about getting cussed out or getting death stares for missing a shot. feels like a weight has been lifted off their shoulders now that kobe's gone. Kobe was my favorite growing up but its no secret that his hypercompetitive personality can be toxic to teammates. I wouldn't want to be teammates with a guy like Kobe and I'm sure a lot of players feel the same way.

Yup because he was a distraction with the whole farewell thing and after thr achilles injury he was simply too slow for the todays pace and space basketball.
Still a top 5 player ever. But his career ended with the achilles injury.

He did what he was paid to do. Lakers had ZERO chance of contending after he blew his achilles + Pau and Dwight both leaving, not to mention the terrible decisions the FO made when it came to hiring head coaches the last 5 years.
Lakers needed to be bad the last few years so they could draft some talent on the roster, Kobe took the money they offered him and went out guns firing.
Is anyone here calling Dirk a cancer for taking 50m over the next 2 years? Mavs are TRASH and he's currently averaging 12 ppg on 36.9% shooting with his team being 0 - 5.

:facepalm if Dirk plays like that that the whole season, yea people will start giving him shit. Still he took paycuts every year til this year and was pretty good even last year.

when Kobe first came back from his achilles tear y'all might have given him 1-2 games before you called him a cancer and asked him to retire, but with anyone else it's "let him play like that the whole season"
