They were 1st and 5th in 2015 and 16th. Bogut was the highest rated defender last season.

:oldlol: at the morons that said he deserved DPOY over Kawhi. Now that Bogut's gone, that scrub's been exposed on D.

They need to make some moves. Too small inside. I wouldn't be surprised if the Clips dominate them.. but then again Blake Griffin has turned finesse.

The rebounding too.

Griffin just assraped our front court and we have arguably the best one in the league. Warriors won't even make the conference finals.

Bogut was a defensive genius

The small things, his positioning, his timing, he has been very underrated for his entire career

Our front court appears a little soft at times tbh - minus Kawhi of couse

Dude has always been one of the smartest, most instinctively gifted defenders in the game, his impact is massive there. Does so many different things offensively too..wears guys out physically, outstanding passer, sets brutal screens, occasional lob here and there, etc. He's one of those guys whose stats will never wow you but he just helps everything work.

The evaluation of Bogut is always a great gauge of how much someone knows about the game...case in point, Stephen A Smith.

How do you know they won't?? Spurs downfall past few years is still the same they haven't addressed it and that is guard play come playoff time

Grizz gave Conley a 150 mil dollar contract.

Dray's been really great in the blowout games though. Problem is Zaza is playing like the worst Center in the league. He only had 2 great quarters vs OKC, mediocre to trash every other time. He was also the best defender in the Lakers game, but he was rebounding all alone there.

Warriors needed someone like Dedmond bad this summer, really big shame he went to the Spurs. Free lay up line which is a center's job has been completely open in 4/6 games so far this season.

Bogs is a fking beast. I thought Iguadala should have been the one to stay but he looks like an old grandpa since he's come back, pathetic performances all throughout. Wish they would have sold him and kept Bogut instead.

yea they miss Bogut but he's getting older too. He really hasn't done much for Dallas so far who looks like one of the worst teams in the league and is 26th on defense. Maybe they should've just embraced their new team being offense first and kept Speights who looks good so far. That spacing would've been ridiculous.

The "death line-up" didn't have Bogut...

You can't win a championship without very good defense however. Plenty of times Warrior D in the last 2 years locked up and they went on freakish run that killed teams on D and attack. That's necessary to win titles.

They need to stabilize at top 10 and find a way for rim protection to improve. The starting 3 and 4 in this team are better rim protectors than the 5. Or if you add West at the 5, even someone like Steph or Klay would better. Still can't believe Kerr is putting West at the 5. :facepalm

This team can't rely on Steph and Kevin to go completely off 4/7 times. Lots of things to fix still, but rim protection is something I don't even know if it will. THere were 3 elite defenders last season, Draymond, Iggy and Bogs. Bogs is gone and Iggy looks like he aged 10 years this summer. Not sure if his back is still gone, but he's not dunking a ton of open lay ups. If there's one person whose soul was taken in last years finals, it's him. Or he's still injured. Either way, that's not a good look for Warriors since he generally leads the bench mob.

Isn't Mcgee the best prospect 5 at this time?

lol, bogut is an exceptional defender who works best near a mobile shotblocker. In dallas he plays near dirk, far from optimal.

He could be an option, but Kerr isn't using him at all other than garbage minutes. So that either minutes he's too stupid to get it, or is still trying to get fit. Looney for example has been stellar last two games he plays but has only played 10-12 minutes. Kerr said it's due to minute restrictions until he's ready. Jones is also a talented big that should be back by December or January, but he's a rookie who will miss half a season. Not sure if the Warriors can look at him to save them for this season...

I think Zaza can be used in this team for different type of play for 15 minutes, it's just that you need at least one reliable rim protector in the team. What the Lakers were doing last game was embarrassing.
