Cavs will get the wins.

He looks like averaging ~24/8/10 if Lue doesn't rest him too much.

His main rivals in the West seem likely to have fewer wins.

It's the best chance he's had since he left Miami... and possibly his last chance.

Leonard or Harden IMO.

If cavs have best record in the Nba then lebron should get it.

It'll be Westbrook or Durant.

Did your wife's son tell you that?

Dude couldn't care less about the MVP at this point. He's probably rather Kyrie get it TBH

Leonard or Harden IMO.

Harden won't get the wins but I agree that Kawhi is probably the favorite.

I just think given the strength of the east v west, the cavs might get 5 or 6 more than the spurs. And bron will probably have better raw stats.

If cavs get 65+ wins with bron going 24/8/10, that will be tough to beat.

when lebron won his first one in 08-09, i was kind of annoyed because i assumed he would keep winning it for around 10 years or so. he was and is just that utterly dominant.

the fact that he 'only' won four is a lot like what shaq went through to me-- i.e., easily the league's most dominant player and arguably should have won it every year for many years, but voters sometimes get tired of voting for the obvious candidate.

MVP is a highly debatable award, so i'm not worried too much. either way he'll wind up as a top 3 - 5 player of all time.

Leonard will hoist the MVP trophy above his head when it's all said and done.

yeah I wish there were more consistent guidelines. It really should be referred to the hype award, or man of the moment award. Lebron should have won it every year since his first and that is obvious just looking at how he elevates teams instantly in the win column.

agreed. leading a team to six straight finals is some jordan-level brilliance. lebron's overall play during that stretch might even have been better; who knows.

i think shaq would have come close to that if he had more 3-D guys and less kobe bryant. he almost did it five straight times as is.

not sure who came close to that in prior decades. maybe kareem with the bucks.

KD deserved his pretty clearly, and Curry's last one was pretty undisputable too. Besides those 2 seasons, LBJ deserved MVP every year. Curry's first was weak, and Rose's was a joke,

Said it before the season began and still think he has as good of a chance as anyone. He is going to have a combination of stats and wins. I think Lebron this year is going for a 20-10 season and if he does, he will have the last component in winning MVP, the storyline.

maybe, at some point in the season he needs to show as to what separates him from Love/Irving. I suppose we need the team records to actually come out, instead of basing opinions off of pre-season ranking.

that against teams above .500 stats, really gets the front office prepared anticipated by trade deadline

i take it that's your sense of humor working there?

LeBron and Wade had almost identical stats that season.

perhaps, but you can say I have not yet jumped on the Cavs 70 win season bandwagon yet

i'm not sure what that has to do with it.

it sounded like you don't consider lebron particularly better than love and irving if i read your comment right.

you're asking me whether or not Lebron will bench at his max for the max reps.

so my answer is, first, I'm not sure whether or not he will up his max weight, he might just end up doing more reps of the same weight. and if Love/Irving employs a different strategy, then the MVP is up for grab if they do win the regular season.

who knows, maybe after a few back to back games, or a long road trip, Lebron's natural strength comes through because other players are fatigue. which is also a matter of, just how much rest does Lebron need in order for him to play consistently at a high level.

bball ref has Westbrook as the most likely mvp, if voting was to take place right now. Lebron 2nd.
