PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Cleveland's LeBron James moved into 10th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list, passing Hall-of-Famer Hakeem Olajuwon by converting a fastbreak layup with 6 minutes, 2 seconds left in the first quarter of the Cavaliers' game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night.

Olajuwon finished his career with 26,946 points.

James' first attempt at passing the record was an emphatic block by Philadelphia's Joel Embiid 3:20 into the contest. After two more misses, James quickly raced up the court for an easy layup.

Terrific player, I just hope he doesn't burn out too early in the season. Aside from his occasional menstrual cramps, he's been a gladiator health-wise for years. Would love to see Cavs vs Spurs.

We're fortunate to get to see him in his prime.

I always feel envious when people who have seen Magic, Bird and Jordan play all rave about them.

One day I'll rave about having seen Game 7 in Golden state Live and standing for the last minute of it. (Tru the tv obviously not live live)
Or about seeing Lebron's game 6 in Boston.
Or about seeing the Block, or maybe I'll talk about how he went to the finals for 6 straight years (And counting?)

I can only hope that whomever succeed him offers as much entertaintment and awe.

Kudos to a generational player.
